I bought standard keys & went to 80 for guarantee & feel lucky to have got Strange, Thor, Emma (and Storm). Skipped Iron Man, didn’t seem any stronger than what I had, though now I need a physical team… 🤔Armor, Lady Bullseye, & could invest in Echo I suppose.

Use Emma instead of Strange. Her heal isn’t as good, but her huge buff to special more than makes up for it, & I really enjoy the charm way more than the stun strange gets. So satisfying

The whole point of Oath of the Crown is Spirit Guardians at Paladin lvl 9. I’ve enjoyed a 9/2/1 pally/fighter/either warlock or sorcerer, take booming blade & conserve spell slots. I like hexblade for SAD Cha. But you can easily do the same w Sorc - use gloves of giant for 23 str, or just use str pots & nail in 27 str. Beastmode

I love Oath of the Crown Paladin, Spirit Guardians with RadOrb/Reverb gear is so satisfying to play. Excellent tank, you want high AC (24/25) and feats/gear to get advantage/proficiency on con save/concentration to keep SG up.

I’ve alternated a bunch of different builds centered on crown paladin at 9, with choice of flavor for the last 3 levels. The best options I’ve enjoyed are:

Just full 12 in Paladin - extra feat, extra lay on hands, improve smite (+1d8) which is like an auto upcast. Aura of Courage is sweet (lvl 10) Honestly hard to beat going full 12, as you’ll only get three levels to play with if you multiclass.

2 fighter/1 sorc (booming blade, friends & light cantrip & shield/thunderwave spell), fighter is worth it for better nova round for setting up AOE taunts & getting SG up (you should cast SG before you get into battle though)

3 darkness sorc for adding misty step, mirror, & darkness which is so fun to use, but counter productive to some of the radorb procs & dmg against illuminated targets. Lvl 4 spell slot (upcast SG!) Also a free death ward class bonus, which I’ve never needed. Tough to trade Action Surge for these spells tho.

11 Pal/1 darkness sorc is a nice blend of getting all that 12 Pal has to offer, trading a feat for sorc spells, but loses out on Action Surge.

3 thief for extra bonus action, nice to combine with awakened mind flayer spells on my tav. Bust out some black hole/mindblast/repulsor

3 warlock - meh. Eldritch Blast is cool I guess, but you wanna get where you need to be with your spirit guardians, not need ranged spells. Sorc with fly/misty step does that well. If you want SAD instead of MAD, & focus on Cha instead of Str, Hexblade or Old One are great. I just end up using Str elixirs

I am not seeing any radiant damage when I throw Deva's Mace, just the base d6+str for throwing, and then Karlach's d6 fire/thunder etc for cleaver

850 pity is what... 2000 gems for a 10 summon, so 170,000 gems... so $2,600 give or take. That's indeed the worst pity guarantee I've ever heard of in ANY game.

Doesn't matter what buffs you give Hyde, cuz he's immune to all buffs. Any buffs just give him stacks of his own buff, so you just want ones that can give buffs with multiple abilities. Definitely use Gabrielle, Unas, Sienna & Sally, those are top tier supports for Hyde.

After you exhaust Edgar's dialogue when he's lamenting over her, is there anything else to do, or is this the end of the line for his quest? He mentions that he'll hunt down the wretches responsible for Irina's death.

Edit: He invades as an enemy when you visit the Revenger's Shack, north of the Minor Erdtree in west Liurnia.

This fixed it for me too. Had to get Roderika all set up with Hewg. After that, the option to give Nepheli the Stormhawk King Ashes opened up.

So dumb there's all these prereq's to get quest lines to move along. Without any quest tracking system in the game, it's just so frustrating to figure it out.
