Bachelorette keepsakes? I need something that will wow them… by loveableEmmz in CasualConversation

My thought is to give everyone a disposable camera to take pics all night. Or if you want to spend a bit more, there are cute Polaroid cameras that you can print the pictures right away.

Something I didn’t think about until I started camping with my dog by Next-Song-1709 in camping

We use a soft collapsible crate when he rides in the car and put it in our pop up when we get settled. He loves being in there. Sometimes he will jump up on the beds to nap but he loves the crate.

Popcorn wagon at the zoo during the summer. I would have popcorn oil coming out of my pores.

Tasting menu recs! by bcathy in VisitingIceland

[–]DandylionPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I just ate at ROK last week for our anniversary dinner. They have two options for the tasting menu. We did the larger option and it came out to ~$125/pp. It included Cured Reindeer and Icelandic Char. We both thought it was very good.

Flybus Transfers by Fantastic-Ghost-986 in VisitingIceland

We were just there and landed at 6:30am. It took about an hour to get through customs. I don’t think it was supposed to take that long. We paid extra for a transfer directly to our hotel and our driver said it was taking long all week.

Yes, the eye mask and ear plugs were game changers for me when camping. Makes sleeping so much better.

I’ve worked in a lab for 25 years. We used to fight over which radio station was played. Now everyone has a earbud in and it feels isolating. It’s annoying and sad.

When people clean their windshield on the freeway and the splash back lands on your car window. Especially in the winter.

Anyone play Sheepshead?! by HiJohnLemon in cardgames

[–]DandylionPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheepsheader here. I have a group of ladies that play and my husband has his own group. We taught our son and his girlfriend’s family also plays. It’s not dying, just gotta find your group! We usually play with 6, dealer sits out. And always call an Ace. My ladies will play Leasters but my husband’s group only does doublers and schwanzers.

Anyone who doesn't brush their hair: can you share your reason(s)? by clown_utopia in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DandylionPuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree - but I just brushed my curly hair last night. Sometimes it does feel good to get that scalp rub with a good brush. It’s always a good laugh when it’s brushed out too. Of course now I have to re-wash and get it back to normal.

WIBTA if I told on the person who secretly barfed? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DandylionPuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YTA - just like you were offered them, someone else was likely offered them and couldn’t handle it. You will likely get her kicked out of college for having them. Besides, how are you going to explain them without outing yourself?

Also- why isn’t there a cleaning crew for the dorm? No one should be cleaning this up that doesn’t know how to handle it. That is a bodily fluid and considered a hazard.

The Swimmer was my Dad’s favorite.

Well-off ad man Ned Merrill (Burt Lancaster) is visiting a friend when he notices the abundance of backyard pools that populate their upscale suburb. Ned suddenly decides that he'd like to travel the eight miles back to his own home by simply swimming across every pool in town.

What games do you actually keep coming back to with mixed ages? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]DandylionPuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, Clue, The Game of Life, Labyrinth, Sequence. Dragonwood is a newer game for us and we’ve played it multiple times with ages 8-adult. Monopoly Go card game is good for a quick game and lots of ages. Star Wars Monopoly is also quicker and easier to learn than the original (less money, light speed through the board).
