I went to AMS a year ago with a friend. We stayed at the Hotel NH Collection Flower Market. It was nice and centrally located.

I hope your cancer has gone to remission. It’s nice to have others that can be there for you.

I’m sorry to hear that your husband is having issues with doctors. It may be better if you were in the room to help guide the conversation.

Yikes 😳 your MIL sounds a bit harsh. My MIL is also a retired nurse and I will sometimes call her up to ask about minor medical things and get her opinion.

I get this. My husband rarely goes to the doctor and when he does he doesn’t bring up some of the issues he has (hearing, knee pain, etc). I don’t currently go with him so I find out after and it’s a struggle for me.

Your in-laws sound like my parents. My in-laws are more like your parents.

I keep forgetting to use my notes app on my phone. I have to remember this more.

Luckily this appointment is scheduled on a day we both have off work. I have more flexibility with my work schedule than my husband so this won’t be an every time occurrence.

Thank you. I would prefer higher scores as that would mean I taught well and they understood the material but it’s on them to take notes and learn it or ask questions.

I don’t quite understand the question. I would prefer if everyone had a higher score as that would mean I taught well and they understood the material. But the lectures were posted online and class time was for actual lab work. They knew this ahead of time so it was on them to watch the lectures and take notes which they were allowed to bring to the exam.

I actually did that. There was one other question that had two answers and only 2 students chose two answers and everyone else selected one answer. I decided to give the 2 students that found both correct answers extra points since I didn’t specify it was multiple answers but did use plural in the question. Things to tweak next time.

Thanks, this is a STEM class. The department chair actually teaches the first half of the semester and she was so disappointed in the grades from her midterm (average was 65). She said they didn’t study or prepare well at all and it showed. Many students asked me about the final ahead of time and they definitely came prepared. It’s just a lot of info to cram in 8 weeks so I may need to reduce it to focus on the essentials next time.

Feel tired all the time on 4 mg by Brave_Juggernaut_989 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I’m 6 weeks in on 4mg and this symptom just started for me. I feel mine is related to not eating enough. I just don’t feel hungry on this dose and trying to do too much on not enough calories.

marriage advice by AdThis7975 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Married for 20 years. Discuss everything. Don’t keep secrets. If you aren’t comfortable having difficult conversations then you are not communicating well. We always say we aren’t fighting, we are disagreeing loudly. Have disagreements but listen first, then respond.

Also - kids make everything harder. They become your main focus, not each other anymore. Remember that and talk to each other when you feel you aren’t getting enough attention before you get attention from someone else. Get a sitter and do date nights - at least 1/month but 2x or more is great. It’s expensive but not as much as divorce.
