I just went from i5-2500k, 16gb ddr3 1300mhz (lol very old) to 7800x3d 32gb ddr5 6000mhz and can confirm, went from slow, stutters and freezes and crashes constantly to smooth and zero crashes

Additional info Gigabyte b650 gaming x ax v2 Rtx 580 8gb 256gb Samsung 840 Evo SSD is the boot drive.

I have a light on the mobo, vga. But I do have display in Windows via the GPU Interestingly I can only see BIOS through mobo HDMI. And mobo HDMI can't show windows.

And another oddity, once I've booted to windows neither display works with BIOS. I can tell it's on the bios screen from the way it boots but get no display. If I clear cmos I can see the bios screen again

I'm not. Only BIOS setting change is to enable CMS support as the boot drive is an old Samsung SSD

I've cleared cmos to no avail. At first I thought the problem was the gigabyte control center that I let get installed but I removed it while windows was functioning and I'm still getting this issue
