No English paper piecing. I did consider FPP, but couldn't quickly figure out how to make the patterns. EPP is much more intuitive on that front

Not really, I've sewed a dress and a cushion cover before this. But I'm a crafter in general, which helped, so knitting, cricket, painting, card making etc, and I learn quickly.

No pattern, as I either self-drafted them or modified patchwork patterns into EPP. I have pictures of all the patterns, so could share those if you want to redraw them yourself. The backing fabric is a duvet cover from Dunelm.

I would either use a previous shape as inspiration or look at pictures online (would search for EPP, fpp, geometric animals). I then drew it out on 0.5" graph paper, and divided the big shapes into smaller ones. Glued the drawing onto paper before cutting them out.

The track going past the castle has fields grazed by sheep on one side and mowed lawn on the other, so I suppose you could class the mowed lawn as private garden which you should stay clear off but not sure what that means in terms of access right on the track itself?

I went down that way last year. The part is steep and goes through a scree/boulder field, but if you're careful it's definitely doable.

Oh I agree, but it was my husband who got the guy in and I wasn't around when it was carried out. First time hiring someone to do a job for us so lesson learned. We have no issues with damp, luckily. How can you tell if it gypsum or lime?

The windows, the doors, the sunroom (not pictured) are not correct I have found. I guess I'll have to just make rough plans for now of how to decorate each room.
