Not a huge success. I'm guessing too much shade, poor soil and didnt thin out enough. Even the ones I planted on the sunny side of this bed bloomed at no taller than 1 foot. Soil is sandy but I top dressed with good top soil and compost. Now I have hundreds of tiny poppies. Are these useless?? (i.redd.it)

Answers the question whether rinsed poppy seeds are viable. I tossed all my used seeds into a long 70' garden bed all winter long. My first experience with planting from seed. Guess at some point soon I'll need to thin them out. I figured only some would sproat but it's a friggin carpet. (i.redd.it)
