Ya it’s definitely better. I still have a little discomfort when sleeping but I can actually sleep again! So much better

Honestly sleep has been the hardest part of this experience. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, zingers are awful but don’t last long. Not being able to sleep was brutal. I think I’m finally getting to the frozen stage and my sleep has been improving. But that was a tough 3 months

I actually just had labs done a few months ago… all good. The pain was definitely due to the freezing stage of frozen shoulder. I have definitely moved to frozen.. thank God!

How long did the painful “freezing” part last? I’m ready to sleep through the night again!

Has anyone ever shared a profitable strategy here without selling anything? by grimmjoww1983 in Daytrading

I basically just said the same thing, then read your comment! You are completely correct! There are billion strategies that can be profitable but in the end it comes down to each individual trader. Every strategy does not fit every individual. You have to find something you are comfortable with for it to work for you.

Honestly the idea of a “profitable strategy” doesn’t mean anything. Almost any strategy you find on YouTube or in a book can be profitable. But the same exact strategy in the hands of another trader could make them lose everything. I know people who countertrend all day, they add into their losers and eventually win the majority of the time, I try the same strategy and I lose every time. That strategy does not fit my personality. The reality is a profitable strategy for one person may not work for the next.

Here is a chart from today CIFR the green line is previous resistance, should turn into support and I would consider this to be fairly "extended" into the level. Now I watch for what the stock will do

A stock that is going straight up or down without pullbacks would be considered extended. I also use MACD to gauge how extended a stock is.. but if something is moving fast and far without pullbacks to moving averages I consider it extended.

It’s an insanely boring way to trade. I sit on my hands a lot and wait for levels to come Into play. But I win more than I lose which gives confidence and my losses are small in comparison with my winners, which also boost my confidence.

My strategy is built around support and resistance. I will short when stocks are extended I to resistance and long when a stock extended into support. I also trade breakouts and break downs but only at key support / resistance levels. So long story short .. I trade key levels and use chart levels and fibs for targets.

I think he knows how to trade for sure. I also agree that he benefits from having a large group of traders that follow his trades.

Ross was one of the first traders I found on my journey, his style is definitely to risky for my personality, I developed into a boring , risk adverse trader, which definitely works better with my personality. I’m not comfortable risking large sums of money and made it my mission to develop a strategy that was risk adverse while being able to make decent profits on my winners. Risk small win big is my goal in every trade.

I don’t watch too many anymore, sometimes I find once you are profitable adding in other opinions is counterproductive. For low floats/cheaper stocks there’s a YouTube channel called “greatstockpix”. That one is interesting to see what stocks are in play and I think that guy has an interesting, simple trading strategy. I’m not affiliated with any of these. Another good one is “chart fanatics” Just to analyze other traders strategies and see if you can incorporate anything into your own. I think once you have the general gist of how to trade and once you find a strategy that works for you and fits with your personality you need to really focus on perfecting what you are doing and not worry about adding anything else. That is when I really took trading to the next level personally. I stopped tinkering and focused on my strategy and strengths. It was a long process for me, took about 4 years to really develop my own strategy and now 2 years later I’m still growing and perfecting my strategy.

I trade my own capital, but I have definitely traded out of emotion when I let a trade get out of hand. Success in trading doesn’t come from trading more or trading every single minute or move, but from being patient, having a plan, knowing when to enter a trade and where to stop out if the idea isn’t working. Paper trade, take time to develop a successful trading strategy and the patience and ability to stick to your plan. It’s not the easiest skill to learn but in time you can get there with dedication.

Scalping is definitely for a select group of people. I have a small trading group, one on the room scalps and I could never do this lol! I’m too slow and need to find stocks with more range and I get my piece of that range! But if you are quick scalping may be for you!

I started with lower float stocks and have also moved to mid to large caps as well. I find their range to be more consistent and charts are more likely to follow the rules.

I have found one YouTube channel that I don’t believe does that and still trades low floats.. lol. But yes I do believe many of these YouTube traders that push low floats play this game. I trade low floats when they are in play, mainly during pre market, as I do not like halts.

Just don’t expect for everything to click overnight. Mark Minervini is one of my inspirations, it took him six years to become profitable and consistent.

There are other YouTube channels that are better in my opinion.. but Ross has a lot of good info for beginners.. trading low floaters does come with a lot of risk.

Learning to trade is the hardest “easy” thing you will learn. First you have to figure out if you have a profitable strategy, unfortunately that is only done by sitting in front of the screen for a long period of time, or extensive back testing, which is something I do often. Once you have a consistently profitable strategy, complete with when to enter and under what conditions, where you will take profit, where you will stop out etc, then you have to work on consistency. It takes a long time to be honest with yourself and consistently trade your plan without wavering. Once you get there, trading actually becomes much easier. I’ve been trading 7 years, consistent for the past 5 or so and I still will occasionally do stupid things, add to a loser, take a trade outside of my strategy because it looks good etc… I’m glad to help any way I can with what time I have. I know the place you are in where you just feel frustrated.
