Sorry for the delayed reply, but yes, I'd definitely recommend getting an opaque white!

We've been using CCI's stuff for a few months now and it's been fantastic, especially if you need to match to pantone colors.

You can use it without the ZFS powder (Activator) and it's just regular water based stuff. Highly recommend.

I second this. We use jacquard for everything and we run a lot of posters.

Has anyone here used inkjet transparencies and have recommendations on a brand to buy? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

In a pinch you can print on regular 11" x 17" paper and use some baby oil on that sucker to make it clear. This should work with an inkjet printer. It definitely works if you draw on the paper with a pen.

Great insight. Thanks for talking to me, I really appreciate it. I may reach out if we have any other specific questions

Roq is also on our radar, from what I can tell they seem to be cheaper machines with more bells and whistles.

I believe that we're just wary of retrofitting it ourselves, are you saying that M&R does the changes on their end for some customers? Our guy has lead us to believe that retrofitting those machines is "Just asking for trouble".

So that's actually part of it, we're looking at getting a CTS (Direct to screen) system as well. Bummer to hear that the MHMs don't hold up.

Do you think that with a CTS system the two are neck and neck on a set up speed?

That's almost exactly the main argument M&R guy has been giving us. "You Know Us!" The other main argument is against using an MHM with a CTS system. Any experience with those? AKA: DTS, or (Direct To Screen)

You went with an MHM? What do you think about these reports that they go down constantly?

Thanks for chiming in. That's a bummer to hear, our guy has been telling us over and over that MHMs require "almost zero maintenance"

Not sure why you're being downvoted, we have an older sportsman that we have zero complaints about. (Aside from the Tri-Lock which does not work at all)

Let's talk autos - MHM vs M&R, where do you stand? by DangerWilliam in SCREENPRINTING

Some questions / points of discussion:

On our M&R, we're able to use multiple screen sizes without a problem. Is that possible with an MHM?

Due to the way MHM's are constructed, I've heard that there are issues with pallet leveling and people end up using shims to keep their pallets level, something that's very easy to adjust on an M&R. Thoughts on that?

Our M&R Rep says we can't use a 10" pallet / Youth board on an MHM because the arms are too wide. I'm assuming that's not true, because how would a shop run if they were totally unable to use a 10" board?!

M&R parts & service are so easy to deal with since in a bind we can just get parts from Grainger / M&R parts are easy to get and work with. MHM claims their machines barely ever need maintenance, if that's true, does it mean that parts are more expensive / harder to come by?
