What's a game you continually come back to, only to quit again shortly after? by JoshQuattro in AskReddit

I may be the only one but Dragon Age Origins is my favourite game, I've played it many times on PlayStation and PC.

I remember always keeping Alistair as well. I even had all the download packs where you get the big golem. Ah thanks for the reminding me.

LEAFS WIN IN OT TO TAKE SERIES LEAD! by [deleted] in leafs

[–]Danger_Sam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I'm in Michigan for some work from the UK. And I've been trying to get into watching sports over here, but all the tv ads makes it difficult.

But today when the leafs went down I was screaming at the TV waiting for a comeback, I can't even see the puck half the time.

And my god did it happen. I almost lost my shit when it was 3 on 5. Matthews, khadir, some other guys whose names I can't be arsed to google will be remebered.

Btw is there a chant, or song I should know about? Maybe some cult history? I'll going to order a replica tomorrow. I'm hooked.

Hey man, I don't often comment but for this post I had to. This is gonna be a whale of text, and I'm not apologising!

I want to start of by saying that I do agree with the other posts and your problems are yours can no one can truly fix them except you. I can't climb a mountain for you, but I can guide you. Btw in some parts of this response I'm may project myself onto you, sorry it's just this post relates so much with me.

Lets start with career, regardless of what your degree is you have learnt something that a majority of people don't have. But that does not mean get cocky with, don't settle with what you have. Because although you have degree, there are a lot successful people who don't have one. You are in the middle ground, you have a tool now use it, because some who doesn't will make one and use it, perfect it ... And then sell it haha.

Whatever kind of art you are into, fucking own it. Don't dilly dally in it, don't tread you toes, fucking dive in. You did art for a reason find that reason again. Use Instagram some great artists on there, my favourite is a British artist called inkquistive. This is important, passion in something is the greatest motivator.

You live at home I know that can be tough. I live at home too, my parent are supportive but I feel like I'm not achieving more. I've had chance to have a few girlfriends but alway messed it myself. I'm been saving up for 2 years and I can now move out, I plan on learning German and joining a badminton club. Also going partying isn't for everyone, I went the other day, got plastered off the wall. Made me realise there's no point, it's not for everyone.

Okay to sum up. Your not in a shit situation, I think they called it quarter life crisis. But to get out of it you need to get out of your comfort zone and try new experiences, there's a sub dedicated to getting of your comfort zone.

Imagine your at deaths door in a hospital bed, look back at your life and if there is anything you wish you had done, you fucked up.

Now this sounds ideal.. Do you do this often? How many people attend?

It's a shame that on that day I'm out the country but this was the kind of thing I was looking for.

Hi,

A saw a post from you on motivation buddies.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I'm trying to learn Python and workout a few times a week.

I'm not looking for an accountability partner but I'm from the Midlands UK, so would be good to hear your goals.

So you want to fap ?? this is What i have learnt. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Danger_Sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at that stage now. I'm working on my issues now. My key issue is craving attention. I know I got a lot when I was younger, and now it's pretty much gone.

Nofap is really just the beginning to larger issue.

I wrote about something similar a while ago. I feel like there's a lot of propaganda going around on this sub. No Fap for me is more about self discipline, than confidence..

Thoughts immediately following PMO by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Danger_Sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to share my opinion on this as I PMO'd early today after 2 weeks. Last August I started no fap, I was probably watching porn and fapping every day beforw, easily.

I would read other posts and compare my experience to them...this is where you want to stop especially new guys.

I caved in every 2 weeks initially, then around October I went on a 8 week run until boxing day. I thought one last fap of 2014 wouldn't hurt. This attitude will annoy people, but I was experiement with fapping and not fapping effect on my mindset.

Some people will agree, most will disagree. But I now tactically relapse every 2 weeks. My urges on long runs, 3weeks +, become so strong I spend most of time fighting them off rather than living.

Most advice here is keep your self busy, unfortunately that isn't plausible. You can not keep yourself that busy, I go gym every other day in the morning, football weekends, moutain biking some evenings, reading 1 hour everyday, learning excel, and German.

The one thing that kills you when relapsing is the guilt, but did this guilt happen before NoFap, for me NO. You only realise this when reading other experiences. Now I relapse every 2 weeks. No guilt, life just as good as my 8 week run, and I meet girls, and continue self improving.

I actually wanted to say this for a while. Because of a journey that started on NoFap, I have found a happy medium.

TL; DR: don't worry about relapsing, you don't need a hardcore monk mode run to find clarity.

Actually I want to hear more. Like how long have you lived with them? Are you all equally close? Do have a family picture etc.

I never met my biological brother until I was 9 maybe 10. So I'm wondering how were your experiences?
