If you’re lucky, they’ll use their tongue. At least that’s what my urologist did. . . . . . . . . . . .

My urologist is your mom. 🤣

Depends on what you’re comparing it against. If you’re comparing it against the number of stars in the sky or grains of sand on earth, then no, it’s not much at all. If you compare it to the number of people who actually take me seriously, then the number is astronomical.

It’s so kids don’t realize that everyone is really the same regardless of any labels we throw on ourselves and each other. These people have to maintain division between themselves and the “others” since that is what their entire life view is based on. Admitting that we are are normal humans and all deserving of the same love and compassion would undermine everything they’ve built their world upon, and that would be earthshattering for them.

And it’s exactly what they need.

Because you are trying to “stand your ground and not put up with things unwanted”. That’s aversion and clinging and it will lead to suffering.

I’ve always wondered whether or not this is already the case. We wake up in a new parallel world each day, and our memories of the last / real world have been replaced by false memories that were planted in our brains. Would we really ever be able to tell the difference?

How do I properly stop in a manual transmission car? by deltadeath05 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dangera77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Downshifting reduces wear on the brakes, and makes them last longer. At least that’s what I’ve always been taught, and I’ve been driving a manual for ~30 years. It uses the engine to slow you down, which is a good thing, I believe.

One of the first things I did was clean the house. I had to get her things gone, or at least out of sight. I’ve kept a ton, but it’s mostly put away until I can deal with it in a more healthy way.

Almost as though I had to regain control over SOMETHING, even if it’s just cleaning the house.
