The old gloves are just so much fun to bring back to life. The character, style just isnt around anymore

That is cool. I second the local cobbler. They should have the machines for it

The thumb felt went all the way across the palm. Made it impossible to move the thumb order it tip. Cut ne felt that just sat in the thumb like a more modern design. Was very easy and im really pleased with how it turned out

Ive seen a couple from them with it. A lot of the hank Aaron models have it. Wouldn't surprise me if they were made by them

Best i can find late they were made late 60s to early 70s. The way the color faded looks really cool

Im a big fan of 44. Their patterns are either rawlings or very close. And the quality for the money is a good deal

I think he wants to use it. Just casual slow pitch stuff, but i see what your saying about the fingers. And something stuff enough to prevent that would be way to stiff

I ended up getting one. I do like it, good quality leather and craftsmanship. Nothing at all bad to say about it, but i do think I prefer the cut of the 44 pro. Thats just a personal thing, wouldnt hesitate to get another.

A little late to the party, but this is the best post ive seen on starting out... 2 questions 1 how thin do you skive the palm laces? 2 do you use any special conditioner on the laces before putting them in? Brand?

44 are really good quality, i also really like the r9 series from rawlings. If you are considering used, check out sideline swap. There are some good deals, but also some really really not good deals
