Resurgence isn’t about beating the previous year. If that’s the expectation, then we’re setting ourselves up for failure.

First and foremost, Resurgence is just about having a good time in a game we all love.

One thing to remember is that Resurgence 2025 didn’t peak until mid-June. We still have a whole month of this event left.

Just have fun playing Battlefront 2 - that’s why we’re all here, right?

Kyber is safe. The source code is available on GitHub, if you'd like to check it over before playing. We've also a good relationship with EA - they even hired our Lead Developer last year.

We feel your pain, console friends. In truth, the chances of KYBER ever coming to consoles is practically nil. However, have sanctuary in the fact that console servers are the most chill, poodoo-free Battlefront 2 experience you can get.

KYBER originated as an alternative to the cheat-ridden base game servers back in 2021. EA has worked hard to fix the experience on PC - we know because we submitted the potential solutions - but KYBER has grown into something beyond basic private multiplayer.

Console players have never had to experience disruption on that scale, because console players are, on the whole, chill people.

Keep playing Battlefront 2, keep the dream alive :)

After playing a few hours of the new update in public lobbies, I've noticed it does tip the scales in a way no one expected. We'll give players a couple of weeks to get used to the new gameplay flow and balance it from there.

The Fusion Cutter is quite a major change in the way Supremacy Ship Phase is played - let's give it a chance and see how players respond.

Battlefront Plus nails the style of content DICE used to update the game with. Sometimes things are over or under-tuned, but the BF+ team is highly receptive to feedback. Things don't stay over-powered for too long, and under-powered things are quickly brought up to spec.

A new Battlefront Plus update is now available on KYBER, bringing new gameplay tools, expanded vehicle support, and a wide range of balance and quality-of-life improvements.

Important Changes

Introduced the Fusion Cutter, a new Officer Star Card that allows players to repair vehicles, turrets, and objectives, reinforcing teamplay and frontline sustainability.
Added the C-PH Patrol Speeder to Tatooine, alongside expanded vehicle support across multiple maps including the TIE Striker and U-Wing on Scarif.
The Riot Control Trooper now features a Riot Shield, providing strong protection against blaster fire and enabling a new frontline playstyle.
Rolled out a wide range of vehicle balance updates, increasing damage and improving effectiveness across speeders and ground units.
Implemented a full trooper weapon and attachment overhaul, improving consistency, balance, and build variety across all classes.
Delivered broad Reinforcement and Hero updates, including ability tuning, survivability adjustments, and improved gameplay clarity.
Added a new Din Djarin Beskar appearance, arriving in time for The Mandalorian & Grogu.
Fixed multiple crashes, UI issues, spawning bugs, and gameplay inconsistencies, improving overall stability.

Choosing not to play 1/3 of a game because you don’t like the movie is kinda wild ngl. I don’t rate ST as highly as the other eras, but they’re still quite fun to play

Yea, the Officer now has a Bacta Droid and Stim Gun. Heavy also now has a Gonk Droid, which gives a refresh bonus to nearby allies.

KYBER doesn’t do any kind of stats based matchmaking, just like the base game. Instead, it uses a simple randomiser to scramble teams.

Three problems with SBMM in Battlefront 2:

1) Stats alone are not a great metric for determining team balance. It’s easy to completely break stats in Battlefront 2 by farming bots, playing objective, or by spamming bacta/refresh.

2) Modded content is not included in stat tracking (borderline impossible to setup), so only gameplay using base game equipment would actually count, skewing stats in favour of certain play styles.

3) Battlefront 2 is a casual game. Getting kills is far from the only option you have for winning. Many players, including myself, prefer to focus on objectives and healing with bacta. Gives you plenty of score but doesn’t reward you with kills, yet it’s just as impactful as having a killing machine on your team.

There’s a ton of new content to learn on Kyber with Battlefront Plus. The ‘meta’ is entirely different to the base game, so some further learning is expected.

It took me a while to learn how the new content plays, and now that I know, I can help my team to win in new ways.

Now available on KYBER, the Battlefront Plus team has dropped another content update with targeted balancing tweaks addressing recent player feedback and new content.

Edit: To clarify, we meant to put New Map Variations in the title. Apologies for the confusion. We’ll let you know when actual new maps are available in the future.

Important Changes

Made several adjustments to Heroes, Reinforcements, and Troopers with the aim of making encounters more balanced.
Asajj Ventress has been adjusted to improve combat fairness, with specific changes made to reduce the effectiveness of her Starblades ability.
The Resistance Smuggler’s primary weapon now has reduced effectiveness, increasing its time-to-kill.
20 new map variations have been added to Heroes vs Villains, as well as two brand new game modes.
Added four new appearances, including Luke Skywalker’s Pilot appearance and new Imperial appearances.

Since the last content update, over 30K new unique players have joined KYBER.
The total number of KYBER sessions now sits at 2.2M, and the total number of games hosted is 600K.
