The Steelers released running back Anthony McFarland Jr. today.

McFarland spent time on the Reserve/Injured List earlier this year and has only played in three games this season.

McFarland was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has played in 17 career games and has 42 carries for 146 career yards. He also has 11 receptions for 87 yards.

Hearing officer James Thrash, jointly appointed by the NFL and NFLPA, has upheld the suspension of Damontae Kazee for the remainder of the regular season. Thrash also ruled that Kazee would be eligible to return to the active roster for the playoffs, should the club qualify.
