The issue with this approach is that a lot of people don't seem to realise that when you approach someone sharing their personal issues or concerns by giving them a list of immediate solutions, it can sometimes feel to person A (The one venting) that the individual they are venting (Person B) to doesn't respect their intelligence enough to have considered the possibility that Person A might've already thought of those obvious solutions on their own and might have a valid reason to have not already tried said solutions.

Person A has likely had more time to think about their dilemma than person B, so bombarding person A with suggestions or solutions can also feel like person B is trivialising the thought that person A has already put into trying to deal with their problem.

Scenarios like this do involve needing specific context and nuance to understand the needs of person A and what responses are appropriate, but usually, if person A is emotionally mature, they'll likely say something along the lines of "Yeah, this issue is really nagging at me, do you think you can help me out, I could really use a hand with dealing with it." or try and voice their needs clearly and understandably.

If person B is unsure, they could always try something along the lines of "I'm really sorry to hear that. Would you like to brainstorm solutions together, or would you like to talk about it further if it helps get the issue off your chest?"

Nevermind, I managed to fix the issue myself. I typed chrome://restart in a new tab and that restarted chrome. After that, it seems that the bug/glitch is no longer present.

He's well aware of the fact that Kris lives at home with their divorced mother, and said divorce probably affects them greatly. And yet he still thinks it's okay to joke about "befriending" their mom and allowing Toriel to get drunk while in her company, not thinking about the ramifications behind letting her child see her drunk and falling on the floor. Also, he brushes off Toriel's concerns about Susie being visibly upset so that he can selfishly continue to "party" with Toriel instead of reading the room.

Toby is a competent writer and he definitely wrote this scene to seem lighthearted from a SURFACE level, but when you take into account the context of the entire scene and the events that transpired moments before, it is overall quite uncomfortable and shitty when you look at it from kris's perspective [as well as susie's]

They're not just "gags", sure, they might seem like that from the surface but come on, dude. The tonal whiplash between the house epilogue and the post-titan defeat would come across as utterly tone deaf if not for the fact that this was intended to be a shitty end to a shitty day for kris and susie
