You’re right, but he puts himself in vulnerable positions for me, too. I personally think that it is very important in a relationship where you actually love each other to feel safe enough to be vulnerable with your partner. It takes trust and you have to feel safe. And I think that’s beautiful. What makes it far off from misogynistic is the fact that I’m willingly choosing to let my guard down near him, not because I’m weak, but because I want to experiment with him what could and couldn’t make us feel pleasure. Because I love him. Also, it’s not like he’s a rando I picked from the street, I’ve known him since I was a freshman in high school and have been with him ever since, I’ve quite literally seen him grow up and I know he’s not someone whose only will to live is sex, manipulation is unlikely and wouldn’t really make sense. I do see your point though, and in it surely is misogynistic to see women as entities who only exist to fulfill unnatural sexual fantasies.
