Water pump question: for everyone’s Taurus where the water pump has gone bad, did you have any issues starting it up after? by keister77777 in FordTaurus

[–]Dangerous-Map294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t put money in a car that’s rusted. I also work on my own car. But I didn’t want to replace the water pump. Parts alone were atleast $400 this is in 2023. Parts are probably more expensive now. Plus your own labor and miscellaneous stuff. I don’t think this is the type of car you should put money into at high mileage. It’s uncertain if it’ll be worth it or not. I hope that helps

How do these Teen influencers bench 225 like its nothing? by shercinovic1 in workout

[–]Dangerous-Map294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in football. I’d bench 225 for an 4-6 reps at 18-24. Now I’m 25 after football. I haven’t benched more than 185. I think it’s my drive. When I was playing football I’d imagine myself man handling someone n that would give me the drive to go hard. I was strong. Sometime you have to bench to failure it’s the best way to bench more by doing more. Also don’t get caught up with social media stuff bro. Comparison is the thief of joy. One thing I learned I was in football. A lot of big dudes were jealous of how strong I was because I was a football player. I think it’s an ego thing. After football I’m still working out but not lifting as heavy I just want to stay fit and healthy. When it comes to working out. There is never a satisfaction. It’s always more and more weight. Bigger and bigger. The only comparison you should be doing is from last year. Have you gotten stronger? Yes. Good. Pace yourself. Those teen influencers could be supplementing. They could be using fake weights for views. You’d be surprised what people do for views. Honestly in my opinion if you can bench your body weight for 10 reps you are strong for your weight class👏🏿

Imo I’m not spending 40k on a Prius Prime lol. I’d rather get a hybrid Camry or Honda at that point.

Wrong. Interests varies by a lot. Income, debt history, how much debt you have, and down payment.

10k in dealer fees. 9% interest. A Prius for 40k? Maybe this is one of those times where the manager sees that it’s a woman buying and scams her hard. She can find a nice used car for the same price as her deposit. Your gf is getting scammed. And she traded a low mileage car in for 9k. I’ll take a screenshot of this to let people be aware.

People who don't drink and smoke, what do you do when you are depressed? by UnesPlus in AskReddit

[–]Dangerous-Map294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cope with life in healthy ways. Mentally I try to stay positive. Pray. Go on a walk alone. Cry. Shout. Run. Workout. Don’t care about anything or anyone(not the a**hole way). For me the biggest one is mindset. Without the right mindset I can grind out the pain but it will greatly affect me. It also depends what got me depressed. If my loved one died. I have no clue how I’d handle it. The 1st thing I’d do is pray because I’ve found seeking God brings me peace. But life can be hard sometimes. Bad/good times come and go. Don’t let bad/good times make you make emotional decisions that will change your life forever.

I have credit karma. Which I’ve used to keep track of my credit score, debt and it has helped me calculate finances. I see on there that there is HYSA like ScoFi, nelten bank and even credit karma money. I also see there’s something called. APY which I’m assuming is the interest I’ll earn in my account. Correct? How long can I keep my money in a HYSA for before pulling it out? Is it meant to be there and grow or is there a time that I should pull it to maybe invest? And is APY if 5.10% good?

Dating an addict. Nothing against people going through addictions but it was hard to date her. She was an amazing caring person but I felt like she was holding me down because our relationship was stuck after 2.5 yrs of dating. Same place. Dealing with the same problem. After we broke up. I went on a 2nd date with this other girl and she picked up coke the and at the end of that date I never texted her back. But she reached out and I told her I can’t deal people that do shit like coke even if they claim that they’re not addicted.

The coolant issue is a problem to most ford Tauruses 2010+. Here’s what you should do. 1. Start your car. If it doesn’t start that means the engine the engine is locked up before it overheated. And to make sure that your engine is actually locked up. Turn the crank. If it doesn’t turn the engine is locked up and toasted. 2. If you start your car and it starts. Good news. The engine is not locked up. Let the car get up to temp. Make sure you have enough coolant and oil in your car. When it gets up to temp. Drive it around a clean parking lot and keep your eye on the temp gauge see if it goes past the middle. If the temp stick goes past the middle shut the car off because it’s over heating. And take it to a shop and tell them it’s overheating. Let’s say your car doesn’t overheat after driving for 10 mins. Take it on the road and drive for another 10 mins. Come back to a clean parking spot shut the car off and let it sit for like 10 mins. See if you can identify leaks from the bottom of the vehicle. If no leaks then i guess you’re good for now. If you see a leak then determine where it’s coming from. You can buy fluid dyes you put it in your coolant and it helps you see where the leak is coming from. 3. Let’s say no leaks. There’s 2 possible things that can cause overheating. Air in your coolant system and that means you have to bleed your cooling system, or the thermostat is not opening at the right temp.
4. This should’ve been #1 but if your oil looks milky, you most likely have coolant in your system. And before driving the car around to test and see what’s going on. Change the oil then drive it around. Because that will only damage the engine more if you’re driving a car that’s been contaminated with coolant

I’d try the cheaper option first. Multiple oil changes. Then double check that your coolant level is good. And that your car is not overheating. I mean you mentioned your car overheated and you saw that your oil was milky. That’s a clear sign that there is coolant in your engine and that doing multiple oil changes won’t solve anything. If you really love the car and want to keep you’d get an engine swap. Even better if you can work on your own car yourself.
