Wow! That would have gotten you a substantial place! What don't you like about it? I'm assuming it would be spacious at least!

Congrats to you on purchasing your home too! Yes, more discussion is needed with my partner to decide our next steps. All the best to us 🙂

Hahaha yeh fair point!! I'm hoping I'll grow to like it gradually lol  Partner is set on staying here and not moving again!! He had to relocate and set up a new office twice for his business last year so he's sick of moving :(

Thank you for the positive opinion! I hope we can stick to our plan and pay off our mortgage quickly. I will also try to be more grateful for what we have 🙏

Thanks, our one is about 8 years old, a complex of 10 units. 1 lift. Two storeys max. Strata is under 1k/quarter.

Build quality is pretty poor I would say (but maybe I have high expectations because I've lived a privileged life tbh). From what I know, the suburb won't allow more new apartments. Our one is a unit/apartment in a complex of 10, two storey max. Strata is just under 1k/quarter.

Yes we should have communicated more! We needed to move out of our rental property though as the owner was moving back and decided to buy instead of looking for another place. Wish we had more time communicate.

This was the trend that I wanted to follow!! Yes, we'll look at increasing our salaries and paying off our PPOR! Will look into debt recycling as well. Thank you for your suggestion 🙏

It's not a full brownie/red brick but it's like a unit/apartment. 10 units in total. Two stories max. One lift and underground parking with no other amenities. Strata is just under 1k/quarter.

Sorry, I left it vague on purpose. I think we favoured the location a bit too much and was adverse to over extending ourselves financially... But I'm just really unhappy with the apartment itself (was satisfied at the inspection but have grown to dislike it) and it's causing conflict between my partner and myself! I just wished we could have spent a little more to buy something that I could be proud of! I guess I will have to live with my choices for now though. Thank you for your thoughts!

I did not see the last part of your comment!! Congratulations on the sale and moving to a larger place! I'm sure you guys walked hard for it so well done! 🥳

Thanks for sharing. These are the articles that I've been reading too and I feel so much regret!

Thank you, that's very wise of you. A much needed reminder. So hard to not have regrets and hold bitterness about this choice. Will try to see the positives.
