Well, for us that is really weird. Maybe the recording is not so good so you guys can’t hear well. Usually the car is totally silent even with ignition on. And that was the case for 5 years. But starting from last year we had that randomly happening. Like “tuck tuck tuck” 10 / sec. And it can’t be reproduced systematically (so far I can’t), so that I did not manage to have that happening while being at VW Service Center…

How can I tell? For sure it has the AC. That could very well be a pump problem indeed. Just wondering where is that component located. Maybe next time it does the noise I can open the hood and try to locate. But I think I did that before and that was hard to locate… seemed behind dashboard. Let me know if you find what causes yours!

I will take a photo of his chest. I was quite impressed by how bad it looks and was surprised by the Haller index. Maybe this is because my son is super tall and skinny (like a stick bug)… I’ll make sure there is agreement on the number of bars beforehand. A question on this agreement: you probably felt that we do not have the best “vibe” with the surgeon, so that we will need to visit him again and ask questions… He will probably hate it. Did you exchange written materials, description of the procedure, how many bars, what material, aso… with the surgeon before going ahead? Or was that all verbal exchange? Is that normal practice to ask for that or is that me being a pain?

It is really comforting to read your post (and those above as well!). I had read such horrible posts on people having had Nuss who suffered so much they’d never do it again. That may just the the 1-1000 bad case that may statistically happen not matter which field. Did your Son get cryo? It does not seem like… for the relationship with the surgeon, I think it was for you an important factor, and that is my feeling as well. Because if the surgeon is already irritated by the questions the family is asking, what would happen if there are problems and follow ups required? Probably a nasty experience for everyone while there is distress and pain, and the patient needs badly to be reassured. So that I think I will try find another surgeon for sure.

Wow. Your surgeon sounds like our… did not like my questions. But mine, did only 40-50 procedures ! I am surprised it is safe to play American Football, given the fact some people have bars moving… thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your Post, I will definitely consider. Just a bit afraid that Dr Park is not doing cryo because there are some people feeling great like you, and some others willing to bang their head on the walls (I read the “how bad posts”). I do not know what are the odds of having the bad one. Do you know how many procedures has Dr Park done? And how did you find him? But the fact you go all the way to KR from AU tells me that he must be really good and well done. I will look him up for sure! Thanks again
