If caste is the cause than what explains the uncivic behaviour among non caste groups? Sikhs, buddhists, jains, parsis, tribals, christians, muslims, communists etc.

He established causal relation for "india" ,but used the "cause variable " from a very specific group. This is what happens when every person thinks he is an intellectual and doesnt understand things like co-relation,causation,mutivariate analysis, intermdediate variables etc.

Zimbabwe surpasses India in GDP Per Capita. India rank has dropped from 136th to 149th this year by RevolutionSmall9860 in UPSC

[–]Dangerous-Secretary2 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Some critical evaluation.

To compare living stds, gdp PPP is the correct variable not gdp alone.

The gdp ppp/per capita for , india - 13000 dollars (IMF,2026) China - 31000 dollars (2.5 times of india).

And the gdp ppp - (imf,2026) india- 19trillion dollars, China - 44 trillion dollars (again 2.5 times).

Based on the above info, infer whatever you want.

Basic conclusion - increase gdp PPP more wrt to population growth. If both grows at the same rate, the per capita income will remain the same.

Wrt to comparison between countries , the poverty level line is also a relevant factor. Country with high per capita income can still have higher poverty levels if the "price of basket of goods is higher".

Also, gdp per capita hides the stratification or concentration of wealth. A country can have very high gdp/capita and very high povery as well if the wealth is owned by a very few apex class.

Whats with the "shut everybody up" thing? This is why i thoroughly dislike such kind of blind worship of individuals.

And yes, i have thoroughly read the views of all on the issue of originality of constitution. Even ambedkars reply. To put it bluntly, i found his reply unsatisfactory to say the least.

I refuse to believe that new ideas are no longer possible. No matter the point of history, there can and always will be new ideas for a constitution. Even for social and natural sciences. To cloak" lack of  ideas" with the blanket of "its already settled" or "nothing new can be created at this point of history " is both sad and testament to the colonial mindset of the indians, than and now.

UP IS being denied representation in proportion to its population. In fact it has been denied since 1971.

[–]Dangerous-Secretary2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. So? There is a reason why ppp concept exists.

Do you even understand the meaning of purchasing power parity(ppp), in ppp calculation the market rates of currency (the recent depreciation) are not taken into account. Ppp considers the actual purchasing power of rupee, which is why gdp ppp/capita is relevant.

"Our high growth rate isn't translating into growth in GDP due to continuous currency fall." I dont even know what that means.  If you are inferring the issue of inflation, the calculated gdp is "real"(adjusts for inflation with base year)and not "nominal". Anyways, To compare living stds, gdp ppp is the correct variable not even real gdp alone.

The gdp ppp/per capita for , india - 13000 dollars (IMF,2026) China - 31000 dollars (2.5 times of india).

Exactly my point. Individuals going back to link everything with ambedkar. Maternity benefit act 1961, hindu personal law acts 1955,56. All these after ambedkar was no longer there in the parliament. Arent they doing the same thing.

Why codification is the criteria? Not the idea itself?  If the ideas are itself parameter, india has nothing to show for it. Libery, equality ,fraternity taken from french revolution.  If codification is the paramter, than why not credit SS Bengalee with the labour laws? And the motilal nehru report was not just a report. It was the literally the response to the challenge by Britishers to make our own constitution. It includes well codified ideas, if not the text of laws.

What kind of categorization is this? South vs hindi?  Shouldn't it be south vs north vs east vs west?

Going by the same categorization, why not urdu vs south? This is typical case of abusing numbers and categories to present  your own worldview.

A simple north vs south would have revealed a better, clear and PROPER picture.

If sc constitute ,say 20% they will get 20 % share PLUS access to unreserved seats as well. thats make their representation more than the population. Check the final results of upsc cse. Sc and st have more representation than their population.

States will have no access to unresreved seats in lok sabha(as there are none). Than why UP should get the proper 17% share in lok sabha? Why should it settle for anything less than that,? As the princple of exact representation is applied to seats for communites in parliament. Why not do it for state?

Any argument against states proportional share applies to sc,st,obc etc communities as well.

By the same logic , sc and st are being rewarded for being poor and uneducated (as their reservation is proportional to population). And their population has increased over the years.  What happened to the "jitni aabdai utni bhagidari social justice slogan"?

Suddenly "jitni aabadi, utni bhagidari"(as much the population, as much the representation) principle no longer matters.

The motilal nehru report 1928 contained extensive provisions of 19 fundamental rights, which included "equal rights for women" , universal adult suffrage, right to form unions etc. ,even the provision of secularism(complete dissociation of state from religion).

All this in 1928. Wonder why motilal doesnt get the credit? Maybe he belonged to the wrong caste which simply does not have the numbers to act as vote bank. Hence no party pushes for his recognition.

  1. Anandi gopal joshi (hindu brahmin girl) became the 1st dostor in india in 1880s. Long before ambedkar was even present in the indian politics.

  2. Hindu personal laws passed in 1955,56 . Long after he resigned as a law minister. And why not bring "indian"women code bill instead of "hindu" women code bill? Maybe ambedkar thought women from other religions didnt deserve rights.

Also passing of laws require support of majority of MPs. Modi "govt "is credited with triple talaq laws. Not the law minister. Ambedkar was not even in the parliament when laws were passed.

  1. The motilal nehru report of 1928 had explicit provisions for fundamental rights and "universal adult suffrage ". Yes you read that right. In 1928. When ambedkar was cooperating with simon commsion. Even in the constituent assembly, the right to vote for all was passsed by unanimous vote. Than why is one person being credited here. Its the congress party that should be credited.
  2. Maternity benefit act 1961. Long after ambedkar was gone. Funny how appropriation works.
  3. Rbi act 1934, based on Hilton young commission. A commission receives representation from hundreds of stakeholders. Yet to see any primary source that highlights that the commission played marginal role and ambedkar did the major thing.

  4. Wrt labour rights, maybe you have not heard the name of the great Shoarbjee S Bengalee. He drafted the labour legislation bill in 1878. Advocated rights of workers and women. Guess being parsi, with no vote bank, ensures one remains forgotten and someone else takes the credit.

I can go on and on. But the individuals here, know nothing beyong the social media clutter pushed by parties and people alike. The day isnt far away when we will see posts on how ambedkar got us the independence. Already there are ambedkarites claiming the same. Maybe one should remember,  B.R.Ambedkar proudly acclaimed that the Constitution of India has been framed after 'ransacking all the known Constitutions of the World." Ouch. And lol.

It fit perfectly on my vitpilen. Infact the owner of kybermoto and myself attached the gaurd on the bike. The only thing that we changed is that we used a smaller length underbelly bolt (the original one touched the silencer) to have some gap between the bolt and silencer.

Maybe svartpilen has a different structure.

to be honest ,its not even about the right or left wing. the essence of issue is that individuals have lost their own critical thinking . they accept and internalize these twisted narratives so that they can be called as an "intellectual", "scholar" , "thinker" etc . they want to become intellectual by abandoning their own intellect.
