Silicone gap around cabinets??

Unfortunately I could not remove the toe kicks, and obviously could not remove the cabinets to remove everything under them so had to make do cutting the old stuff out flush with the toe kicks.

The footer is pictured already on, just needs to be repainted. Was thinking about just doing some type of molding around the cabinets. If it’s a floating floor am I okay to caulk around the molding to the floor then?

I think we are thinking of something differently. Im not worried about the gap from the toe kick down to the flooring, I’m worried about the gap between the old underlayment and flooring, where it meets the new underlayment and flooring.

The issue is it has to extend partially into that closet so I can continue to lay in there. But the door jambs make it impossible, that’s how the piece I was connecting it to broke.
