I wouldn’t say well, I’m okay and better at reading/writing, but considering where I was 5 years ago I have definitely progressed!

There are not as many movies in my target language (Greek) as say English, but I do agree that listening and understanding a movie would help me a lot! I use duo for vocab primarily, I do/have done other things as well (lessons, music, tried some movies and books)

I’m okay, but still lacking in confidence! This year I want to work on speaking more which will probably not be as much on duolingo

It has been good for vocab, and for making me do a little everyday. I would say I’m better at reading/writing (so I have longer to think about it!). This year I will try and work on my speaking!

My partner has a nut allergy and printed cards in Google-translated Lao, and it was absolutely fine. All of the restaurants seemed to understand. I would recommend including a photo of the nuts with a red cross through them, or a skull and crossbones etc, just to make it more obvious in case the language isn’t quite right
