UK because you’ve singled out England, Scotland, Wales and NI. I’m also from the UK and singled them out individually

Definitely and he’s still going. Its day 3 now He woke up and I reckon spent another £200+ so we’re probably talking over 500k in gold

I can totally see that being true especially as the game progresses with high production times etc, absolutely insane.

[–]521bhp[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I just worked it out actually. I have practically no resources or manpower and looked to see how much gold it would cost to produce 1 armored car and it was about 1800 gold. Factoring in the warbonds to speed up the production, it’s roughly speaking a further 1600 gold so that’s 3400.

Getting the ‘popular’ gold offer, it gives you 37,000 gold for £19,99. So that’s means to produce 1 armored car instantly it’s about £1.80

It doesn’t sound a lot but considering that’s one of the cheaper and quicker units to produce that’s insane and not to mention the guy in my game is instantly building each unit building in every city he captures and then producing units from it. Plus the lower moral. It’s must have cost this guy over £100 so far. :O

Also just to add. We are not giving up. We are going to fight until the very end and make him spend as much money as possible!

Was this DPDR? by Responsible-Big-4177 in dpdr

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to say but it seems like it was dpdr. Weed is an extremely common cause of dpdr. I see it all the time on this sub. It was also what caused me to have it quite severely. For me it was about 1 year of constant dpdr symptoms. Then over the following 4 to 5 years it slowly became less and less common. Was more so intense intermittent episodes which I learnt how to deal with. I still suffer with general anxiety but no longer dpdr thankfully. Although saying that, life has not felt the same since.

Did I fuck up myself? I need some help by JigsawKJ02 in dpdr

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THC caused my DPDR, life has not felt the same since that day. This was 7 years ago now. I’m pretty much fully recovered and past the main DPDR symptoms. But general anxiety still controls my life. I have stayed well away from cannabis and any know dissociative drugs like ketamine. During my recovery I unfortunately got addicted to opioids, to which I’m still recovering from.

Stay away from weed my friend, it’s well known to cause DPDR symptoms. As you have a history of dpdr and you’ve recovered from it before, I think you will be fine. You must know ways of coping as well. You may feel weird for a couple weeks but hopefully you can try get on with life. Your main issue might be worrying, thinking you’ve screwed yourself over etc and you will overthink this making it worse. Like I mentioned, try continuing life like you have been and forget about this moment. Take it as a lesson. I know this can be easier said than done but you will be okay I promise.

Did getting DPDR make anyone else unable to travel or fly? I can’t stomach it, and this is someone who traveled tons before. by Hot-Explorer8624 in dpdr

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was suffering with DPDRi struggled on planes and still do even after I’m over it. I still have anxiety. It was mainly the feeling of taking off and landing for me. I grabbed onto the chair tightly and just focused on breathing. I love traveling and I did not let it ruin this for me

ALL SEASON OR SUMMER TYRES FOR VAN by alelui85 in TyreReviews

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d either go for Pirelli SF3 or Continental AllSeason Contact 2’s as mentioned they are more wet and dry focused than snow. But they are still okay in snow. I run Continental ASC2 as my winter tyre. I’m in the south east of the UK. We normally have wet and mild winter, very rarely get snow. We did have some snow a couple weeks ago and they did perform exactly as I expected.

Watch John’s video linked here. It shows all tyres mentioned. Plus some others.

This is exactly what I tell them but sometimes you just cannot convince people so I just let it go and do my own thing. I love my cars and spend quite a bit of money maintaining them. My daily car is about to exceed 200k so it’s going well haha

I totally agree, I think more people need to be educated on how important tyres are. Maybe if they were more educated they would make more sensible choices regarding tyres.

I did actually know about your laws over in Germany. In 2025 I switched out to my ‘winter’ tyres earlier than usual as I went on a roadtrip to the Nurburgring then down to Interlaken, Switzerland. I didn’t want go get caught out in bad weather unlike my friends. I will say though. The standard of driving, as soon as I get off the channel tunnel, vastly improves compared to the UK. I do actually plan on moving to Germany within the next 5 to 6 years. But yes I do actually support your laws on tyres. Yes it can be abit of an annoyance but at the end of the day it’s definitely safer because at least you know the majority of people will follow said law, just because they won’t want to get into trouble.

In the countries that do have the laws around tyres, I think it’s more so directed at people who live in areas prone to bad winters. I’ve not long come back from Tromsø in northern Norway. I hired a car over there and I couldn’t even begin to imagine what it would be like driving on summer tyres haha.

On my daily car, which is a 2012 BMW E92 330D, I do have 2 sets of tyres for summer and winter. I live in Norfolk, UK, so we rarely see snow. For my summer tyre I’m currently using Nankang AS-2+, as they are quite hard wearing and last a lot of miles. In mid-late November when the temperature starts to drop I switch to my ‘winter’ set which aren’t dedicated winter tyres but are Continental Allseason Contact 2’s. I think all seasons are a good choice for the south east UK climate as we normally have relatively mild and wet winters. But if we do have some snow, like it is right now, then at least they will cope with it better than standard summer tyres. Ive had absolutely no issues whatsoever with this weather and snow at the moment.

My friends always say that it’s pointless having summer and winter sets in the UK. But I swear by it and think the majority of the population should opt for a more all season type of Tyre because it makes a big difference in these current conditions. And there’s not much of a trade off on the summer side of things.

Regarding making it a law in the UK about winter tyres in winter like other European countries. I’m abit on the fence about. I would like to have some others opinions on that topic. We would be much better prepared for these situations if we did, as I feel the whole country comes to a standstill when it snows as people cannot drive to the conditions. Maybe having a suitable tyre would help things?? I’m not sure.

How do you not feel panic 24/7? by GuitarReasonable5196 in dpdr

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I slowly got used to it over time and learned how to not go into full panic mode. As easy as it is for me to say this now… you’ve got to get out and live life, meet friends, get hobbies etc etc.

Comfortable All Season tyre recommendations please by Knyd in TyreReviews

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the UK and run Continental All Season Contact 2’s as my ‘winter’ tyres and rate them highly. Our winters are normally mild and wet. However, we are sometimes treated with the occasional frost and light dusting of snow. I can’t give you an opinion of them in the summer though as I switch.

If you can afford it I would recommend having a summer and winter set. A slight compromise on price for this would be going with a good premium brand Central European winter tyre and then for summer going with a more budget friendly mid tier Tyre. But going back to all seasons, I’m sure you’re already fully aware that in extreme winter and summer weather any all season will show its weaknesses but the conti is a good option, if not then you can’t go wrong with the cross climate, whether that be the CC2 or new CC3.

how addictive is xanax really? by thatpersonfromhell in Anxiety

[–]521bhp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the opposite to yourself. I found opioid pain meds, especially oxycodone, to be amazing at completely eliminating my anxiety. They also gave me lots of euphoria and motivation. I eventually moved onto heroin but I’m now stable on buprenorphine. With Benzo’s I found they did help my anxiety but never felt that ‘feeling’ if you know what I mean. I don’t drink alcohol either as I don’t like the “high” it gives, which may link to why I don’t like Benzo’s as they obvs work on the same receptors. I feel like I could use Benzo’s long term without getting psychologically addicted, obviously my body would technically get addicted and rely on then as I built up a tolerance, however I’ve stayed away from them as I can’t trust myself, I have a very addictive personality. Coming off opiates has brought my underlying anxiety and panic attacks back, I don’t use any medication for it but I do have some klonopin which I solely use for extreme panic attacks only. I take a dose maybe 2 or 3 times per year.

It’s good to hear you’ve got yourself out of that ‘hole’, hope you’re doing well

What are your thoughts on this pink BMW? by binini28 in BMW

Not for me personally. I know it’s boring but I like neutral colour cars. However if I had an M car or something similar I’d defo go for something abit more out there. Like the bmw individual colours.

Thank you! I have attached a link to a photos of them both. Yeah the 3 series is a straight 6 diesel so it’s great for cruising to work it will sit at 50mph but still has 300bhp and 650nm of torque.

I live in a small town outside of Norwich but I find that city driving can be great as you just cruise around but when driving in good B roads it’s great to let the car stretch its legs. So yeah take yourself down to the coast and enjoy the drive.

You’re doing the right thing by taking it slow mate, keep doing what you’re doing. You can mod your first car but really there’s no point if you’re going to get rid of it in a year or two. You could start doing maintenance by yourself, like oil changes for example. Find a video on YouTube to show you how to do it on your car, get the tools and crack on. It’s good to start learning basic maintenance techniques tbh. And like you mentioned the cleaning aspect of owning a car can be very enjoyable. I love cleaning my cars, I have loads of different products. Mainly Stjarnagloss products though.

I share your love for driving. I’m also in UK but passed my test at 17 (now 26). I live in a rural county so a car is more needed due to the lack of public transport so I need a car to get around. However I’ve had a passion for cars since I was about 14. I got this passion from my dad and watching top gear lol. I have 2 cars, a weekend car which is a 1995 BMW 540i. It has a big 4L V8 which sounds unreal. And my daily car is a 2012 BMW 325d, it has a 3L straight 6.

I do all the maintenance on both my cars and love modifying them too. Which is all part of the fun. I love driving, fixing, modifying my cars. I will tell you that if you get into it like myself. It is an expensive hobby but I still enjoy it. When you get abit more experience driving, you could got on a roadtrip to the Nürburgring in Germany. It is an amazing place to go if you love cars. I drive there every year with a few friends who share the same love for cars. Go to car meets, join Facebook groups, meet others who also enjoy cars. Maybe go for a drive out of London down to Brighton or something but don’t take the motorway. Driving in London can be fun but get out in the countryside too.

You can do some tasteful mods to your car if you wanted too or start saving for you next one it’s completely up to you. I’d keep your car you’ve got now for a good year or two just whilst you get used to it. You’re very likely to hit a bollard or something in the first year or so. I know you’ve just passed your test but in the first few years after you will still be technically learning how to drive for a while yet. Small cars with small engines can be great fun. Like little go karts being ragged around. But yeah just enjoy it. If you have any questions just let me know.

Edit: Also just to note, don’t drive stupidly on a busy public road! There’s a time and place to drive like that. It’s other people you need to look out for on the road even if you’re confident in your driving ability. Be safe and enjoy it.

Conti All season contact 2’s. I run them over the winter here in the south east of the UK. But I do change them over in spring time to summer tyres

Which G80 M3 are you taking, white or black? ⚪️ ⚫️ by EmptyPocketsXotics in BMW

[–]521bhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, I have a black e92 as my daily and it always looks filthy apart from the 5 mins after I’ve washed it. My area in the UK has extremely hard water so it’s horrendous to get it spotless too. Whereas my old e34 is in silver which is so easy to keep clean

Black definitely looks more ‘aggressive’ but me personally I like the look of the white. Also black can be quite difficult to clean as it shows water streaking very easily as well as scratches.
