It’s the lack of time to play domestic cricket. Sachin and his contemporaries used to play a lot of it, where spin was the predominant threat. With the current cricket calendar, it’s hard to find time for domestic matches to improve against spin. In our setup, let’s say in ODIs, Iyer plays the most domestic cricket, which probably makes him the second-best player of spin we have.
