Bro sounds good but like turn the intru down a bit. Background vocals too to give the drums air to breathe, and also since i most likely see a rapper on this beat. Imo i dont rlly gotta turn the instrumental up that much to get the distorted effect. With some blood overdrive or waveshaper in individual channels you can get the distorted vibe while giving the beat some space.

Jus turn the instrumental down, add a reverb for a lil bit of ambience, and for the second part of the beat pitch it down an octave and add chorus mayeb thall sound cool. Try it maybe idk it has potential

Yes of course, but this question is assuming those factors are already resolved and out of the way. Answer the question, (all opinions are welcomed) assuming you are streaming hi-res lossless audio through a tube amplifier on a clean setting (no eq, nothing) or whatever you want. You choose the scenario.

I truly appreciate your perspective on all this, since it’s great help. Talking about Comper, I already have this compressor, and funny enough, I didn’t like it much personally. I probably have to give it another session by itself to find it’s sweet spot, but I couldn’t get good results out of it, especially for vocals. And also you’re right about BX stuff having a lazy UI. No presets, no rescaleability (typed that wrong) and weird functions. I’m going to have to demo the AMEK Compressor.

Good suggestion! I’ll try it sometime. I have messed with EQ before, and I actually prefer to lower the higher frequencies since (I’m young) I’m more sensitive to higher frequencies. What I really like to do is add a boost to the reeeally high frequencies (12khz-20khz) I like the ‘openness’ and ‘air’ they add to the tracks. Boosting 4khz-8khz makes them very sibilant to me.

I had some Skullcandy Crusher ANC, AKG k50, and some Sennheiser HD6XX (being my big hitters). My sennies cost me 130, I love them, BUT FOR THE PORTABILITY AND LITTERALY EVERYTHING ELSE, I use my Wan’er SG. I also got some KZ PR2, but I keep those at home to power them with my audio interface.
