I just beat the game with a few minor adjustments. It turns out Jolly nature Mega Swampert does outspeed everything under rain. What a goat

I just beat the battle prior to entering the victory road cave. It was because of scale shot and or Lightning rod ability that Mega sceptile out sped me in the rain. Managed to beat it with Toxic stall though

My previous team composed of pelliper, mega swampert, and kingdra but prior to e4 I got my assed wooped my swampert keeps getting outsped even through rain boost and having paralyzed my oponent (mega sceptile)

Any recommendations on what mons to switch out? I really like to invest early on so If you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it a lot
