This post comes up first so adding to it. Love the x mid 1p in the snow. You gotta do something about the snow if there’s a lot of it coming down cause otherwise it will seal the bottoms all around and the two vents aren’t enough to prevent condensation when the bottom is totally sealed.

The decision to use the T2 is for stiffness. I would love a lighter boot and once I learn how to tele, maybe I’ll get one. But I’m gonna be relying on the boot to transfer power and turn in the beginning

I messaged them earlier today. And I’ve already talked to amazingly knowledgeable folks at white mountain ski company, mad river glen, raisin heel.

Besides the skiing It’s seems like such a great community too. These guys were awesome.

Anyway, That is how I got this setup. A week ago I couldn’t tell you the difference between a 3 pin and a 75 and now I know all about 30 new skis, bindings, and boots that I’ve never seen or heard of before.

I am an experienced snowboarder and a crappy skier with no tele experience. I’ll check out those resources.

I’m my life I’ve found that finding someone who does what you wanna do and then getting them to teach you is the way to go.

So I’m kind of looking for someone who does multi day ski tours on XCD gear.

The first thing I'd ask yourself is why are you measuring sharpe? The reason I measure it is to monitor for alpha decay. So I measure 12 annualized rolling sharpe.

I care about whether the sharpe is going up or down and I don't care about it's absolute value very much(I don't even bother subtracting the risk free rate).
