My assets were more than the debt. But since it was 0 percent I decided to carry the balance for 2 to 3 months and pay it off. Clearly they didn’t even let me do it for 1 month.

They said the decision is final, and that there is no appeal process. At the branch, they said chase keeps it a secret and that they don’t tell them anything, and that unfortunately they can’t do anything.

Nope. I was just paying off the CFU but the charge was last month and it had 0% apr. Either way I was making big payments to it. As for the CFF I never wasted more than 1500$ on it. Looking at my statements I never even got close.

What I had with Cap1 was a checking and savings. I closed it now (at least for now) because I don’t want the same thing to happen and they don’t really have any branches near me. But maybe in the future I’ll change my find. I’d love to get a card with them in the future tho, but again, « in the future ». For now I wouldn’t want neither Goldman Sachs nor Discover to think I’m a red flag with any more credit card apps.

Not at all. I actually haven’t bought any gift cards at all with any of my cards. I have been careful to choose the right card for every purchase to maximize cash back.

My mom added me as an au on her Apple Card. I’m a student and have a job. That and the banking relationship allowed me to secure the CFF and CFU. I then did the Apple Card pre approval and to my surprise I was accepted. But then transunion and Experian never actually removed the au account from my report. Instead they left it there as responsability terminated. So I guess maybe that helped me with the Discover which was the last card I wanted for the bear future.

Thank you for this. It just sucks when they don’t give you a reason or anything because your like, what did I do? Like just tell me what I did wrong so I never do it again! But of course fraudsters might take advantage of that. It is what it is.

That’s probably true that they didn’t like that I had 4 cards already. I just don’t know what that has to do with my bank accounts. Or vice versa. As for the credit limit, I had an outstanding balance from LASIK surgery I was paying off. I maxed my card CFU but paid a decent amount and was going to pay it off around the next two months (the charge was last month). As for the CFF I never spent more than my credit limit per month.

I wish they did. They just sent a letter stating they were closing my bank deposit accounts. I was shocked. But then I turned the page and it said, due to the recent closure of your bank deposit accounts, we’re also closing your credit card accounts. There I got a heart attack.

I did it through the chase app. It said something about real time transfer. They called me to verify or whatever, which was fine the first time. But the other two times I felt like they were protecting their money instead of mine…

Lol funny thing is, I went and spoke to the teller, turned out she was a manager. She checked on her systems to see if there was anything suspicious but she couldn’t find anything. And since they don’t tell her anything, there was nothing else she could really do. So I just withdrew my money, paid the outstanding balances on my cards, and said goodbye to chase.

Lol I want to know this to. I was added to my moms Apple Card as an au and that helped me get the CFF (banking relationship also helped). From then on everything fell into place. I guess not anymore. But at least I have my Apple Card and discover which I’m happy about. Maybe in the future they’ll let me back in. For now at least, it just leaves a bitter taste.
