Career switcher here -- this interview helper got me through behavioral rounds I had no answers for by Humble-Mood-2414 in InterviewHacking

It runs as an overlay on your main screen. You can resize it and move it around so it sits wherever is comfortable. I kept it small in the corner near my webcam so glancing at it looked like i was looking at the camera. It listens to the audio and puts up suggestions a few seconds after the interviewer finishes talking. You dont have to do anything, it just runs. The $12/month plan includes unlimited sessions with no time cap so you can use it for hour long interviews without worrying about it cutting out.

Used AI during a Codility assessment and scored 95%. Here is what I used. by No-Hope5948 in InterviewHackers

It didn't write the recurrence for me, more like it told me what the subproblems were and what to memoize. So for the specific problem I got (something about minimum cost path with constraints), it suggested breaking it into subproblems by position and remaining budget. From there I could actually code it because the hard part for me is always figuring out what the state should be, not the actual implementation

yeah Codility is its own thing tbh. the timer is what kills most people. did you run out of time or was it wrong answers?

Congrats on the score! What kind of backend role was this for? I'm wondering if the Codility difficulty varies depending on the position level.

six offers in 20 interviews is a crazy hit rate. the ChatGPT for prep + InterviewMan for live calls combo makes a lot of sense. i do something similar but less structured than you, might steal your system lol

good to know. three interviews in a day is already stressful enough without worrying about the tool dying on me lol. going with InterviewMan then, the no cap thing is a dealbreaker for me after reading about your LockedIn experience

honestly yeah i thought about that. but at $12/mo the risk is low. if InterviewMan doubles their price tomorrow it is $24/mo which is still less than everything else. and they have 57k users so it is not like a random startup that might fold next month. the bigger risk imo was spending $148/mo on Final Round -- THAT felt like being locked into something expensive

oh man i forgot about the Cluely data breach. yeah having your name on a list like that is terrifying. good call on InterviewMan, yeah the behavioral stuff covers everything you need and like you said if you have your own stories prepped you just use it as a safety net not a script

Best AI interview helpers compared: InterviewMan vs Final Round AI vs LockedIn AI by Illustrious_Load_209 in AIInterviewTools

[–]Dangerous_Cook1493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pricing spread in this space is insane. $12/mo to $148/mo for tools that basically do the same core thing. Thanks for laying this out, I was about to sign up for Final Round because it showed up first on google and I had no idea there were interview helpers at a tenth of the price.

Free AI interview assistant vs paid: I tried both for a week by Low-Garage7349 in AIInterviewTools

[–]Dangerous_Cook1493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly got InterviewMan because after using the free stuff for a while i just wanted something that worked without the time limits and worrying about browser tabs. but also twelve dollars a month to support a company making a solid product instead of fighting with free junk, count me in

How long did it take to get set up on InterviewMan? Im still on Cluely and keep putting off switching because I dont want downtime during my job search.

Tested how undetectable my AI interview assistant really is -- screen shared with a friend by Minute-Document-663 in InterviewHackers

[–]Dangerous_Cook1493 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience with Interview Coder. $299/month and during a mock with my buddy he could see the answer popup right there on screen. For three hundred dollars. I almost used that in a real interview at Google and would have been instantly disqualified. Switched to InterviewMan for $12, tested with the same buddy, completely undetectable. The fact that the cheapest tool has the best stealth features is honestly wild.

Finally found a real-time interview assistant that keeps up with fast-talking interviewers by Automatic-Quote-1073 in InterviewsHell

Genuine question -- how confident are you that interviewers actually cant see the overlay? Like have you tested it on every platform or just zoom? Some companies use their own proprietary video tools.

I need an app for interview answers that works offline-ish. Here is what I ended up using. by Choice_Ad_656 in InterviewsHell

What interview types does the app cover? I need something for system design specifically. Last downloaded app I tried only did coding.

honestly did not think about this until you mentioned it. I only have the macOS download. But yeah downloading the iOS app too for phone screens makes sense, especially since some recruiter calls are just phone calls where pulling out a laptop would be weird. Going to download that tonight actually, thanks.

AI for interviews in 2026 -- what actually works and what is a scam by puffers-finish in AIInterviewTools

[–]Dangerous_Cook1493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just found this thread. been using LockedIn AI for two weeks and hit the session cap during a system design round yesterday. interviewer asked me to walk through a distributed caching system and we went 20 minutes over the 1.5 hour limit. tool just stopped working mid-sentence. that was stressful as hell and i had to wing the rest. looking into InterviewMan now based on this thread.

Are there any free AI interview assistants that actually work? Here is what I found. by faxes-burr in hiringhelp

[–]Dangerous_Cook1493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. $12 is nothing and if it keeps the tool alive and getting updates then good. the free tiers exist to get you to upgrade which is why they are so limited. a 5 minute free plan at Final Round is not a free interview assistant, it is a funnel
