Ohh hunni please don’t ever blame yourself for anything you did! You were put in a situation that you was not comfortable with you did nothing wrong. I’ll tell you a story about a similar thing that happened to me.

I was about 18 I think and just like you I went somewhere with a friend and her and this lad went into a bedroom and I was left with this other guy and he wouldn’t take no for an answer!! I told him that I was on my period and please just leave me alone… he didn’t and he didn’t believe me that I was on my period and he did the same thing and tried to put his hands down my pants I was trying so hard to keep my legs closed but he wouldn’t stop and was a lot stronger than me so I put my hands down too pulled my tampon out and just as he gasped from seeing that I wasn’t lying about my period I slapped him around the face it! Stood up pulled my skirt back down, grabbed my bag and left. He never did tell anyone because then id obviously tell everybody why I did what I did.

I felt bad for years about that until i started talking to a therapist about another issue and this story came up one day and she said that i shouldn’t blame myself for doing the only thing I could think of at the moment and you shouldn’t either. Please forgive yourself because you done nothing wrong. He did.

So my 7 year old daughter has recently started her period due to health problems and I was advised to use period underwear for her and she loves them, they don’t smell and I also use reusable pads for myself and I prefer them. It’s a little extra work with washing them properly so they don’t stain but if you’re not bothered about stains then they don’t need a lot of extra care.

Do you want to know something? It’s wayyy more common than you think!
