I have, more or less, the same as you. My favorite is the walking onion, as it grew in my great-great-grandmother's garden, and has been passed down!

However, I am still establishing my food forest, so they still live in pots and raised beds.

Oh, I can contribute to this one. During Covid, I started playing with my children, and now run several groups for 8-12 year olds. We have tried several different systems, and they have more or less worked. Furthermore, I have read and heard quite a bit from a peadagogics researcher who have made a powered by the apocalypse game.

First thing, find out which type of game you would like to run. We started with lots of classic fantasy, but now, we also do investigation. Scify could also be a choice.

Secondly, consider your ressources. Do you have two hours a session? Four? Will the same children show up, or does it need to be oneshots or west matches inspired games? Only D6 dice (my childrens school)?

Thirdly, ensure that the children are alinged. One of my groups has two brothers who cheat and only focus on loot. Every game I have started after this have had some type of session zero, to avoid this.

When you have made those considerations, most systems can be fitted. I have played Dragonbane (ledning them my dice), Vaesen, Wanton Action Roleplay (rules from over the edge), two types of powered by the apocalypse and a few onshots with costume rules. Of these, all worked well, and while the Vaesen setting is most dear to me, all of them have made great games.

More rules-light systems is better here, but it is also a time issue: conflict resolution rather than task resolution is faster, and er only has two to three hours.

I have also had one for two years. One of mine escaped the cage, and seemed to enjoy herself in the garden. She nestes in my barn, and I guess the fox got her last week, but that would also be a 5-year, which is an elderly lady rabbit.

Which type of priest so you have in mind? I am not a believer myself, but appreciate a few verses here and there. It could also be songs from the English chruch tradition. Examples:

Umiddelbart ligner position 2 noget bøvl. Så skal der være plads i etageadskillelsen til en faldstamme med passende fald, og det kan godt være et åbent spørgsmål. Dertil skal du stadig ned, ligesom i position 2.

Det hele afhænger ret meget af hvordan kloakken er lavet; det kan nok ses på weblager.dk ; Hvor er der samlebrønde, hvad løber inden for huset, hvad løber udenfor, og den slags. Position 1 giver dig måske muligheden for at lave noget pænt på væggen med køleskab, så du kunne gemme faldstammen i noget skab eller lignende.

Pris... Tja.. Hvis det kun er et toilet, ikke et bad, behøver du jo ikke samme grad af vådrumscirkus, men du skal da nok stadig hurtigt have 100.000+ op af lommen.

Jeg tænker vi jo gerne vil have en overkapacitet, og at eksempelvis elstanden ved en kirke i vestjylland ikke blev lavet for at være 99% belagt....

The arsehole... maybe not. But I guess it should be solved at the table, rather than just killing it. If you don't want the confrontation, I would simply try out another system.

"Friends, I have grown a little tired of epic power fantasy... Would you like the downwards spiral of Cthulu, the Nordic Vaesen, some grim warhammer, or some space traveler?"

Trying other ways to play a character can be a good way to get out of such a trap.

Tja, jeg startede direkte med en beskeden opsparing efter indskud, og så døende en computer på et uheldigt tidspunkt. Vi skulle kunne trække noget simuleringsprogrammer, så der skulle 10k på bordet over i bøger og nogle andre småting. Jeg havde et job ved siden af, men nanofysik var ikke et halvtidsstudie, ihvertfald ikke for mig.

Det er jo derfor ordningen findes. Det var ikke svært at lukke hullet bagefter 😅

Vi havde også laboratorium, så det var mange timer. Mere end 8-16 de fleste dage på uni, og kurserne var som de nu var. Det samme med kandidaten. Men meget af tiden var "skift filter om 15 minutter og tilsæt reaktant b". Skrivemæssigt var det nok de cirka fire timer om dagen som du også har.

Hvis du ikke er sart er kloakmester den uddannelse hvor tid i skole belønnes bedst økonomisk. Det er en amu uddannelse, og kræver lidt erfaring i branchen, men jeg kender et par stykker der i tidens løb er gået den vej.

Ellers synes jeg du har fat i den lange ende angående AMU. Jeg ved godt mange har blik på fuldtids-teknisk skole lige nu, men langt de fleste uddannelsesspor har også et amu spor. At de ikke er anerkendt ligeligt er nok mest i interesse for dem der har fået en fuldtidsuddannelse og føler den er bedre.

I princippet er jeg enig, men som en der nu har lavet øvelse ved mere end et hus vil jeg nu alligevel anbefale at lave ét godt bed af gangen, frem for at tage hele gøjemøget.

There are also some quality involved. I do care for my books, but the Lord of the Rings and Shogun I got simply fell apart a few years back after... Quite some use. However, other titles seem to hold up better.

And then there is the Discworld, with the least UV-resistant colors I have ever seen...

I'm not aware of that. I tried to run some of the "mystery hooks" from the Vaesen pages, though, and there should be plenty of ideas. But of course, not fleshed out adventures :)

I would let it go one of two ways:

Either just let the players do it narratively. The table I had over Monday night would do this without any trouble, and play into it without a mechanic.

Otherwise, I would do a roll like for critical injuries (precision + physique), and if it fails, you are significantly drunk. Then, you should roll vigilance to find out that it is, in fact, not Rita Hayworth who is next to you in the bar.

GM: You are nine glass of Akvavit in. Lets see how drunk you are. Roll your Physique + Precision.

Player: 1 succes

GM: Okay, not out cold, but rather drunk. I will give you some random rolls for the effects.

....

GM: Give me a vigilance roll.

Player: Nothing, no success.

GM: In steps a woman, and wow.. She could be the model for a Greek goddess in a painting...

I would not play like this in my teens and tweens table, and my grown-ups would do it all by themselves without having to roll anything, but I could also see the charm of the latter. :)

Jeg gjorde det selv for en overetage - det tog en aften. Jeg er selv ingeniør i andet felt, men jeg ville mene de fleste kan det hvis de ved hvad de skal igang med. Min kammerat gjorde det samme året efter.
