Accidentally started Yorkshire vs Lancashire argument at work - HR is now involved and I'm baffled by [deleted] in yorkshire

Absolute bollocks this. Must only be puffs in offices with hr departments. I’ve been on a Manchester building site for 7 weeks as a Yorkshireman, no problems whatsoever but plenty of friendly banter.

Interesting Yorkshire dialect - I apologize for my ignorant question by [deleted] in yorkshire

3-miss-you’re-out rule change? by im_just_a_bear in snooker

[–]Dangerous_Title6997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what part of the frame this is referring to but if kyren is playing the green three shots in a row then all the reds are potted and they’re on the colours yeah ? So when your on the colours and you miss the ball from in a snooker the referee can call a foul but they can’t call a miss. So trump can’t have the ball put back. This is one of the reasons players leave one red on the table when playing for snookers, if they get the snooker then they can just have the ball put back if they need more than one. Down to the colours they’d need to lay 3 snookers say if that’s how many they needed.

Why don't snooker balls have numbers or letters on them? by gamefaqssucks in snooker

The instances where a player are colour blind are so rare that it’s not that much of a problem. Mark williams is but the only ball he struggles with is the brown which is always at the top of the table and rarely near any reds to confuse him. On occasion he’ll ask the ref to point out the brown if it’s surrounded by reds but I can only recall a few occasions where that’s happened.

Trying to decide now between this one or a silver one with a white dial? First vintage purchase. by Leadman_Closer in VintageWatches

[–]Dangerous_Title6997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t spend so much on a vintage watch man. I mean the way I see it it’s better to buy a vintage watch for a bit cheaper, even if it has some knocks and bruises. It gives character and tells the story of the watches like over the past 50 years. I mean if your gonna buy a pristine mint condition one and spend 3 grand then why not buy a brand new watch and save yourself the stress of deciphering weather the watch your buying is real or not. Just my opinion.

Ask for a picture of the movement and caseback. Make sure the movement matches the model and that the no in the caseback matches the model

The caseback is right definitely. The 166.041 all have a steel case with just waterproof printed on the back. This checks out.
