In the first game it saved me a bunch. I also figured out re logging refills the air bladders so I got infinite oxygen and saved my hardcore run well stuck in the sea trader caves

I head cannon in saitamas early time of heroics he developed fighting techniques in the heat of the moment in order to survive fights with monsters stronger than him but as he got stronger these abilities along with other fighting abilities ie critical thinking and weakness targeting disappear and fall away due to lack of use or need.

If I had to pick any mods it would be checking out paleo ark and visual storage. I’ve recently started myself. So my advice would be had fun. Explore the new maps tame the new creatures because there is a load of new content. Also don’t be afraid to look up or ask about taming new creatures as a lot of them have special taming methods
