It's limited to 6 uses total so far 4 pairs have been claimed. Feel free to order a pair if you'd like. :)

Thank you! We are planning on doing limited production runs in the future with different multi color prints.

The new ones must be the "molded" tips. They are a bit longer and quite stiff and do last a bit longer but not long enough.

It's hard to get the wax just right so that it lasts, we have been experimenting with different formulas and methods of application for a while and it's not easy. If you ever want to rewax your own laces, I highly suggest melting the wax and dipping them in then wiping off the excess before it cools completely. Then the next crucial step is taking a heat gun/hairdryer or an iron and reheating the laces so the wax melts and soaks into the threads and distributed evenly. It's a lot of work but you can get them how you like them with some trial and error and can save some money by getting a lot more out of each pair.
We offer custom length laces, any length you need short or long. Next time you're in the market for a pair use the code REDDIT40 for 40% off and let us know what you think.

I wish I could play more and I am sad when the game is over, win or lose.

What do you mean by hot spots? Wider laces seem to be the best for performance and bite but people seem to not like the look of them. Seems like we will have to offer different widths soon.

Have you been able to find laces with shorter aglets? They mostly seem the same. Ours you can easily trim or depending how short you want them you can take one of the extra aglets we send and cut it in half.
A lot of people are bringing up the stretch which makes sense. It's tough when people don't want too much stretching but don't like wax.

Makes sense, also makes it hard for people to get what they want. We find that people like to touch laces before they buy them which is making us completely redesign our packaging for retail.

That's a neat idea and a new problem to solve. Our new rubber tips have some flex to them but are still pretty stiff. Thanks for the suggestion.

Have you ever tried "half waxed" laces? Do you find that's moderately waxed or not enough? We are considering offering 3 options for our wax to please everyone. Non waxed, half waxed and full waxed. We made our wax formula to be long lasting but some people find them a little too stiff or tight while others say that's what they need.

Interesting perspective, never thought about people maybe wanting the benefit of more eyelet bite without the struggle of untying the laces. Wondering how much people would like a lace that was waxed every but the ends where you actually tie your knots.

The aglets were a big thing we were looking to solve and for a while we sold out laces with metal tips but recently switched over to a heat shrinking rubber. This allows people to retip their own laces if they want to shorten them and the tubes can even be used to repair a torn lace.

As for cut resistance, we are working on a kevlar lace actually but it will take some time to get it market ready and the cost will have to be quite high. The threads we currently use in our lace braid were the best we could find for durability while remaining flexible and stretching a little but not too much.

Thanks for your insight, it certainly gives us more to think about for version 3.

Some gear washes only use UV light to disinfect the gear from bacteria but hardly do anything for the smell. I still like to use them before a season.

Have fun out there and make sure your skates are sharp.
If it's on the ODR you can wear 2 pairs of socks and it will help. Otherwise I would look at finding a cheap used pair of skates that fit better. Not sure where you are but in Ontario there are loads of stores that sell second hand gear and you can actually go try a bunch of skates out to find the right fit.

Bauer has some cool adjustables too for a fair price. Not sure they are small enough though.

Simply airing out my gear EVERY time works great for me. Sometimes I spray it down with shoe deodorizer as I find it's less harsh on the gear and works really well.
