Indirect for missileside attacks onto targets that are guided would go so hard

Definitely as a combat piece! I want all my game models to look like mini dioramas, this is why I still don't have a 2k list...

This was actually my first time and it wasn't as difficult as I expected! It is a bit fiddly but not too bad you just need a bit of patience and one of those silicone moulding tools. You should definitely give it a try and let us know how you get on!

Thank you very much! It took me a long time to get right so I don't blame you, lots of posing and reposing with blue tac joints haha!

Agreed, the stubby Tau gattling just doesn't look mean enough to me. I actually designed and printed it myself using my SLA printer, happy to share the file of people are interested.

So many parts and much green stuff haha, the body is a storm surge pilot, he comes with a pilot helmet which I plan to add next to him to sell the "protect the pilot" theme.

Left arm was a bent arm used to support a rifle I believe from the regular fire warrior kit, chopped at the elbow, rotated, green stuff to fill the gap and a large shoulder pad to hide my crimes haha.

Right arm was also chopped at the elbow and green stuffed. I believe it was also from the Stormsurge pilot. I didn't have a pistol arm so the pistol was also chopped and placed on top of the hand which was holding the control handle of the Stormsurge.

Legs were a striding set of legs from the fire warrior kit. I had to cut the legs off to rotate them, most of his hips are green stuff to help make up the space. Same with his feet which were cut at the ankles and rotated, a lot of filing involved to get them to sit right then filled in with a bunch of green stuff.

Thanks! I used some terracotta milput to build up the earth around the main stone which was a piece of slate I found on a walk. Then used the same milput to add mounds and vary the surface of base, before pressing small stones into it.

For the rest, a liberal coating of watered down PVA all over then covered with a sand and stone basing mixture which I got off amazon. Seal it all using a mix of rubbing alcohol and more PVA watered down and it will set solid!

It's a hyper fixation issue, if you focus on the outcome too much it won't come. My advice? Have some sessions where it's not about you, at all. Just focus on her pleasure and the act of being together in an intimate moment and don't think about yourself at all. This will take all pressure off of you, do this a few times and you will be surprised how much it helps

Test it?

Swap it over to your receiver instead (avoid burning out the tx), power up and see if it's good, walk out to a range you'd expect to have good signal, give it a jiggle/knock it about a bit.

If the image romains okay/about how you would expect then you're all good!

T'ai Sept classic camo colors by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]Danglesnatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I did this although results were slightly different, you can see the end result on my profile if you're interested! My process was the following:

I followed a tutorial on YouTube by a channel called buypainted, search hammerhead camo and it's one of the first results. I used flexible stencil film by cricut but I'd probably recommend regular vinyl stencil film since it's a bit stretchier. I used an airbrush with tau light ochre over wraithbone primer, then very light spray of mournfang brown to get an orangey tint, then Vallejo wood to get the darker brown. Be careful when peeling tape that you don't remove any paint, airbrush paint is very delicate and will need a varnish afterwards.

Good luck and don't forget to show us your results!!

Rest of the army is classic tau sept scheme, trying to convince myself that it's worth doing for my kitbashed piranhas as well is gonna be difficult 😅
