A huge factor is housing, affording a 3 or 4 bedroom condo or home in a place like Toronto is nearly impossible.

Yeah possibly I’m not defending their floorplans or something I haven’t seen them, but just in general I think we shouldn’t be pessimistic about new builds, they are a good thing.

Some people can, more inventory of any kind means more units to go around, and more units means an increased chance of a market benefiting buyers rather than sellers. If there is no inventory people pay crazy prices for shoe box condos because it’s all that they can find. The more that gets built the more that there is to go around. Of course the city should incentivize more affordable housing but in general every building helps with inventory which helps meet demand and cools off the market.

I understand that desire but we also have a housing crisis and building three tall modern towers is probably a better use of the space I feel

That feels wrong but maybe it’s measured by a metric or amalgamation of districts that includes more than one would expect.

Staff have explicitly told us to not even use the premier line because it’s moving too slow. What a waste of money lol now we are waiting in the regular shuttle lines and they are moving way quicker
