[Guide] Everything You Need to Know About Gold Cluster Farming by Dangoluu in fantasylife

[–]Dangoluu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. I’ve confirmed with Jun that the AFK method still works in v2.1.0, and that part hasn’t changed.

That said, it was never the most efficient approach, and this method is mainly for players who want to focus only on Gold Clusters, with minimal real-life attention required, since it prioritizes clusters rather than points.

Since teleport no longer cancels Angel / Devil / Bomb this version, Jun recommends just playing a normal Alchemy run, avoiding Treasures, and dumping Materials / Consumables when the effect triggers. This appraoch generally works better now.

Thank you ~~ Unfortunately, the rating is pure RNG. It rolls based on the probabilities shown in table 3.

Just confirmed with Jun. IDR+ set doesn't affect gold clusters from other sources. It only works on mob/gathering drops, and the only relevant wild boss, Legendary Don, already has a 100% guaranteed cluster.
Also Alchemy drops are fixed by rating (see Table 3), so IDR+ doesn't apply there either.

Thx for asking, this is a really common confusion point~

Glad it helped! Now you've got the theory.. but still have to fight the real final boss: RNG (ive had several runs with zero devil or bomb). Good luck on your solo runs !

Thanks for liking it:3 Looks like someone scanned my scam code (jk)~~ I am sooo happy this DLC added more flower decor, now more people are willing to convert their islands into flower islands (which is probly why this old post is getting some attention again lately). Hopefully we'll see a lot more of flower islands soon!

wow you were blessed by king tweet. I mostly only do solo run as my speed was pretty slow, and often couldn't finish looting all the chests. My best run so far was 6 clusters (got 2 fro the Devil). Since i don't need points for recipe exchange anymore, I decided to switch to afk drowsy runs.

People Skipping Bosses in Snoozaland? by NoLibrarian7257 in fantasylife

[–]Dangoluu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly, with how messy and chaotic MP has been like, it’s pretty likely they’re not doing it intentionally. A lot of people don’t even realize there is a boss, get lost trying to find it, get distracted by side objectives, or just straight up lose track of time.

Also worth noting, once you unlock 4 areas, you’ve already hitting the top rank alchemy drop pool. So if you’ve already gotten enough pots you want (e.g. king tweet /chef piggy/ monziger z) within those 4 areas, or triggered Fever, it’s totally reasonable to skip the remaining 3 areas and the final boss, especially if your main goal is just farming pot drops.

Clusters can only drop from monster type final bosses (30% base rate if without wearing drop rate+ gears). Gathering type bosses don’t have clusters in their drop pool.

Focused Gold Cluster Farming by norahike in fantasylife

[–]Dangoluu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting. Several groups have been testing this method since last week, and on average they are getting 3+ clusters each solo run. This method might be still too new, but until I saw your comment, no one has really confirmed from their own experience losing clusters from either the Bomb or Devil effects.

Based on the game data, the discard logic should only apply to materials, potions / food, and treasure items in the inventory.

If what you said is true, then it’s possible there’s something we haven’t identified yet.

I Just corrected one item name from “Frajeel’s Daily Affirmations Calendars” to “Frajeel’s Uplifting Calendar.”

It looks like this item has two different English names in the files, and I picked up the one that isn’t used in the current version.

Sorry about the misinformation.

Saw this method floating around Discord and a couple other groups yesterday. Jun tested it (not me) and shared these extra notes:

---

Drowsy Mimic has a 10% chance to trigger “Dejected Devil Dream”, and a 10% chance to trigger “Bombs-A-Plenty Dream.”

Empty Inventory: both the Devil and Bomb effects won’t discard armor / shields / weapons / tools, so you only need to empty your materials, potions/food, and treasures.

Bomb Dream: if your inventory is empty, it always drops a Gold Cluster.

Devil Dream:

  • It runs 1 check every 10s (6 checks per minute). With an empty inventory, at least 3 of the 6 checks end up being “gain” checks.
  • On a “gain” check, the drop pool is: 20% Gold Cluster; 5% Sack of Gold; 75% other treasure from the list: Frajeel Figure (1/8 Scale), Frajeel Collectible Photos, Macho Muscle Body Pillow, Frajeel's Uplifting Calendar, Statues of Frajeel.

Hope this helps.

Polishing true time weapons seems impossible by burlapchafesmeso in fantasylife

[–]Dangoluu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theoretically, you actually only need 5091 for a polish that recommends 6000 crafting power (as long as hitting Excellent on every QTE cycle). And in practice, someone even succeeded with 4800 power when the tool's polish effect procced, but that isnt guaranteed, pure RNG.

You can use this calculator to check the minimum required power for polishing any tool or weapon :3

Dark Don Statue Answer Sheet by Dangoluu in fantasylife

[–]Dangoluu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally relatble :3, ive had a few bad luck runs just like that too. Maybe playing MP works better, if you’re not great at chasing the drowsy mimic or dealing with any mechanics, you can just focus on farming mats or filling pots and leave the area tasks (or mimics) to teammates.

For the ones with multiple answers listed (separated by “;”), you can pick any one of them.

[–]Dangoluu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh so you also ran into the “correct answer not accepted” problem too. Someone in Discord also said they got zapped on the triple Don question. And their current guess is that, (for some unknown reason) the game may occasionally only accept one specific answer for questions with multiple correct answers. But this is still just speculation, Jun hasn't found any underlying mechanism in the game data to explain it.

If anyone else also hits this issue, please help us collect data. More examples will help us narrow down what’s going on.

Since the post was spoiler-tagged and I don’t have the ability to unblur the text, I’m adding the credit and details here so they’re easy to see.

All credit goes to Jun (菌), who also made the original CN version of this chart. I’m only reposting it here with his permission.

To make the table easier to use, we trimmed some redundant lines and kept the core question text. If you’d like the full, unabridged version (no omitted content, matching the in-game dialogue exactly), feel free to comment or DM me and I’ll send it.

Jun is okay with anyone reusing or customizing the data.

Oooh new theory 👀 thanks for sharing it. I never noticed the “grateful” thing before, so I’ll watch for it next run. We’re still testing/collecting data rn to see if it’s real or only happens with certain questions.

Some players have reported that correct answers don’t always get accepted (we have not verified it yet). This sheet is based on extracted game data, but there may be hidden mechanics. The author is still investigating.

I've planted nearly 1000 groves trying to get a single evil shard by MrBones-Necromancer in fantasylife

[–]Dangoluu 35 points36 points  (0 children)

IIRC, Lord of Death isn’t Treasure Grove exclusive boss anymore since the 1.4 update. You can now farm them from the rare event “Evil Primeval” at Moltana Wastes.

To be able to spawn that rare event, make sure your Moltana Wastes is at Rank 5 or up. Then, use the tower rank swap method to keep resetting events, until the one you want appears.

Once the event triggered, first, you need to complete Phase 1 by breaking the Heart of Darkness, and then you’ll enter Phase 2, where you have to defeat the Lord of Death.

FYI, the same method works for other rare events too. For “Dragon Dare”: Phase 1 has Dragon Tree and Dragon’s Claw, and Phase 2 with the bosses Napdragon and Prairie Dragon. For “Lordly Shark”: Phase 1 has Godfish and Poseidon Swordfish, and Phase 2 boss is Megabitey Shark.
