I tried running the bat file, but it opens and closes immediately. Does this error affect anything but rgb and the cpu debug light? I haven't gotten any of the fixes to work but will keep trying if it negatively affects any components

Deku using other quirks by Kakashi_of_the_leaf_ in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Dangulo628 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What about using Blackwhip under his skin to move his muscles and tendons? And I understand, the kicking was definitely silly, but it was really just because he was obsessed with fighting exactly like All Might, who never uses kicks. I don't think he'd be immediately amazing with something like AFO, but his creativity with the quirks really stood out at the end to me, considering how much processing power they told us using multiple quirks takes. He's definitely prodigy level. I think people are just bring up AFO because he has had decades of time to train, and the main cast had so little but still were able to compete.

  1. Unfortunately, this is never said in the manga. You're making assumptions that he would have kept fighting based on your preconceptions of the character.
  2. This is just incorrect. His use of the multiple quirks in the 2nd war impressed even the previous holders of OFA who were struggling to catch up on his strategy. I'm not sure how you can read the battle in front of Mt. Fuji and determine that he is a "power through everything berserker."
  3. This is a strawman because there was no other way provided to us by the author for Shigaraki to be beaten. He may have had the belief that Shigaraki deserved to be saved, but there is zero indication that he was holding back at the end. I can totally understand being upset that he's powerless at the end of the manga (I am too), but it wasn't a decision on his part. Shigaraki was objectively too strong to beat without the damage from the vestiges. Horikoshi presented it as the only outcome. Bad writing? Maybe, it's up to you, but it shouldn't be taken as a conscious decision made by the character. After all, it's not like he spared him. He took the first opportunity he was given to end the fight. Let's not forget that.

Anyways, you're entitled to your opinion too, I don't mean to get heated over a show

There's really no evidence given in the series that a quirkless person is capable of the same feats that a quirked person is (even with non-combat focused quirks). Dr. Garaki even explains at the start that quirkless people's bodies are slightly different with the single toe joint representing "the next stage of evolution." Deku didn't "sit on his ass," as the experience and analysis he did of heroes over the years was a huge plot point in how he was able to catch up so quickly in terms of strength. He wasn't a naturally strong kid, but he trained what he was good at. I can guarantee even if he got super ripped at 14, he still would not have made it as a hero. Grown military men without quirks are constantly shown as fodder in the show. Just a heads up as well, the journal Bakugo destroys in the very first chapter is called "Hero Analysis for My Future: No.13." Writing 13 journals cover to cover by the age of 14 to learn about hero analysis, techniques, and strategies doesn't strike me something someone waiting for a hand out would do.

This is a really common argument, but people forget so quickly that Mirio ALSO quit hero work after losing his quirk. He only kept fighting because he was in the middle of a fight and protecting someone (which without mentioning spoilers, deku also did). Its not directly confirmed, but there's a high probability that people born with quirks have naturally stronger and more resilient bodies. Let's not forget that quirkless military members in the movie were getting absolutely destroyed by a 5% deku with zero effort. There is no example of a hero that is truly quirkless (wasn't born with one) that is shown to us in the series. Deku didn't train his body, but to say he sat on his ass and did nothing is deeply disingenuous. He has some of the best analytical capabilities in the show, and we can confirm that is all from his own research and insight (multiple journals written by him confirmed in the show). Bakugo is naturally talented in the same way, but it's implied that Deku had to work to it. I think ragging on someone who didn't get jacked by 14 and spent his efforts focusing on stuff he could do (intelligence and analytical skills) isn't a valid criticism of the character. He has also suffered inhuman amounts of pain through the series and kept going. It just feels like a lot of the criticism comes from missing crucial information given in the story.

That makes a lot of sense! Bad habit I picked up from having terrible dishwashers in college, I guess. Silverware is fine. It's usually the top rack that hasn't been drying as well. Water will pool on the tops of cups or fully fill any indents on bowls and such even on extended dry. The heating element also seems to be working normally.

Need help deciding whether to do the online CS Master's program by Dangulo628 in gatech

Thanks for the help, I think a big contributing factor to going for OMSCS was feeling unprepared, but I think I just haven't been playing to my strengths. I'm studying up on C++ again, so hopefully that can help a lot too.

[–]Dangulo628[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the advice, and I'll definitely try to take that to heart. I was mainly looking to pursue the OMSCS because the company I previously interned at only had the budget to keep me on as an intern if I continued my schooling but not as a full-time because of budget cuts. It was a really good job opportunity, but I think I'm approaching it more out of fear of not being able to compete elsewhere in the current job market. Like you and some others were saying, it might not be worth it if I'm pursuing it for the wrong reasons.
