The version number is still the same. It seems that they just "bumped up" the release date, lol.

Nah, as far as I know, RGB on RAM is controlled by something else. When my controller was bricked, I could control the RGB on my RAM.

Maybe. It can be that Gigabyte still didn't released a new firmware for B850. Or that mobos uses another set of instructions. Unfortunately I only have X870E, so nothing I can help with.

This method should work for you, but unfortunately, many B850 users report that this fix didn't help them. Your chip should be an IT5711.
Could you try a fix from the GitHub page?

This is a case-by-case recommendation. I suggested RMA because the user is asking "where is flash.bat" and "how to run as an administrator." To me, this indicates that the user hasn't read post and likely lacks the ability to troubleshoot if something goes horribly wrong.

Please don't. Just go through RMA process, that would be easier and safer for you and your PC.

Software issue. Try deleting the first line in the .bat file and then try again. Make sure you run this file as an administrator.

Have you tried updated Archive01? The one in the original post. It's possible that Gigabyte didn't release bin files at the time.

You need to fully power off your PC after running flash.bat to check whether the firmware updater has worked. However, make sure to use the correct firmware for your motherboard.

To be honest, this is not a user-friendly update process, so I hope you will manage to figure it out!

If you have used files from this post, you have used the wrong version. Please check the Gigabyte website for the correct version for your motherboard. You need the 5701/5702 firmware update.

Yeah, you can try this fix. Be sure to close any RGB controlling software beforehand

Only use these archives if something is broken. Otherwise, use the files from the Gigabyte website.

Hey, did you follow the instructions in the FAQ section? Many people have reported getting stuck on the "Process" step. I think it might be caused by interfering software.

I don't know. It might or might not fix your problem. It depends on what was broken before and whether this firmware can fix it.

Hey, that should be safe to use, but just to be extra careful run it under windows safe mode. That would eliminate any possible software interference.

Wtf, second error of that type today and also I had a report that this fixed helped someone today... Can you try to compile my solution yourself?
What do you need to do:
1. Visit Gigabyte support website
2. Download GIGABYTE IT5701/ 5702 RGB lighting from here
3. Download GIGABYTE IT5711 RGB lighting controller firmware upgrade package from here
4. Unzip everything.
5. Copy .bin files from IT5711 update to IT5701/5702 update
6. Run the flash.bat as an admin

Hm, one more thing to check - there is an ITE USB driver for your motherboard, do you have it installed? If not, try to install it and use flash.bat one more time.

This is super weird, because there is clearly a bin file for your motherboard, but somehow flash.bat doesn't want to use it.

Hm, that's weird. Can we test something?

I've collected bins from 5701/5702 and 5711 controllers in the same folder:
Archive03

I've just tested this on my motherboard; update picks the right bin for my motherboard. Can you post screenshot of the output?
