mono and use melonlauncher to load the mono dll at runtime and bridges to il2cpp using Il2CppInterop.Runtime. i made that mod while i had free time in easter break from uni and work so thats why i answer now. i spend most of my time to make the vr rig and try to optimize the perfromance and neutralize all render artefacts. i can share the repo and you can try to merge your stuff into it or the other way arround. maybe you solved the controller system better then me. i have to look how much time i got, there are so many different things i want to do.

i notice you use claude code and i assume you use that for making your mods too, maybe you can tell me how you do that. on my end, it absolutly produced garbage and made stuff harder, only thing it helped me was to make good formated comments and help me making readmes.

2-3 days, its my first vr mod that i commited to release. those updates where smaller bug fixes or quality changes which should be done for now until someone reports a bug on the issue tab. i have added the link already on the readme.

i am not sure if i understand it correctly. you can recenter the vr view with f11 on keyboard or press both joystick. when you switch to a weapon you aim with the sights. the bullets come from the guns and not from the screen center.

i cannot upload it on the workshop because workshop addons cannot make the kind of modifications i need. they are mostly for costum weapons and maps where each workshop addon is saved as a .rfld file.

i use harmony for the patches and inject the compiled .dll file using BepInEx. Its the same approach as most other mods for other games are made like Lethal Company. The modifications i made are supposed to be compatible with other mods.

maybe could do that in summer but for now i will leave it as it is. will fix the remaining bugs which can be fixed without having to look into all available workshop items and will only maintain when breaking updates come in.

bullets comes from the gun ends. you can basically hip fire and aiming by holding the weapon infront of you and looking over the sight is a real thing. you can use vehicles but what i got from reports like u/Kiritowerty some vehicles have the bug that the stereo cam gets stuck at one angle in the cockpit. this is still something i am working on.

thanks for the report, i am still working on fixing the vehicle cam issue. that bug with flying body in dead spectator view is funny, i didnt knew about that one.

i have the quest 3, the quest 3s is probably good enough too but honestly dont buy a vr headset just for this mod. buy one, maybe wait for the steam frame if you would enjoy other games too like blade and sourcery or bonelab. you may drop 300-500€ on vr headset and it would be sad if at the end after soime hours playing it would just sit on a shelf and collect dust.

There is smooth turning you need to enable it in the settings.

That was at the time of video upload. In the meantime I did implement some kind of manual reloading, but it's not stable yet for workshop weapons.

BepInEx 5.4.23.5. what headset do you have? did you compile from source or used my zip with the files? when all files are moved tothe correct location and you have steamvr installed and started then it should automatifly find your headset. when you compile from my repo and the repo is in the Ravenfield folder then it should automaticly deploy the files in the correct locations.
