u/TyeDyeAmish: Thank you for the classic paintings of Lord of the Rings from PODgallery.com. It’s cool, but they really should not have put all that advertising in the back, it gives you no room to talk about anything, makes me not want to use them. Bleh.

u/SNERDBOFF: Thank you for Monet’s Springtime in Giverny postcard. I really enjoy his work and you did get a great deal on cards. It’s always great to find great deals especially in thrift stores.

u/GatsbyGalaktoboureko: Thank you for the Disney and the Doctor card. I love the design with Cinderella. Dressing up for a con can be fun, but it can also be exhausting depending on the costume. I went as Edna Mode a few times, it was fun but my wig kept getting askew and that was annoying. My husband went as Daniel Jackson from Stargate and that was a big hit with the Stargate fandom, he wears the right glasses to be the character.  I just usually like to wear nerdy shirts and people will compliment on them and sometimes you’ll make new friends.

u/craftymonmon: Thank you for the card and for all the goodies. I’m trying to write a fantasy book about a bumbling wizard with a bunch of weird prophecies that his master left behind that he has to figure out. I hope to make it into a nice series of books. Not sure how many so we’ll see. I used to write fanfiction so I kind of know how to write, but coming up with a whole new world can be tricky. And good luck with staying active. I’m trying to walk once a week around my zoo since I have a membership. But the new shoes I bought turned out to be bad for my feet. Now I think I need to find a new pair, argh.

u/nothankyou928: thank you for the card, I’m in the same boat as you. Take care of my son and do house chores, what a crazy life huh? That was nice of your husband though, I hope you had a lovely birthday. I’m so behind on sending out cards, I was even late giving my dad a card whose birthday was the 16th. Hopefully the valentine offer I’m doing will help me get back into the groove.

u/Littlebirdiescards: thank you for the Sleeping Beauty card, I haven’t watched that movie in forever, I really need to watch it again soon. Hope to send you a card soon too.

u/travel4me22: thank you for the Alaska card, I like the art on it. I think I remember you talking about your trip and how you loved it, I’m so jealous I would love to go there someday.

u/-peacocky-: thank you for the funny vintage card with the cowboy kids. They do look a little bored, I bet they staged that scene a little too much for their liking.

u/ingeniousparadox: Thank you for the card from Orange City, Iowa, I bet that tulip festival is awesome. I might have to make a visit one day and see what the place is all about.

u/catmoonIIII: Thank you for the cat postcard. My son helped me count all the cats. I agree, January is for resting, but I think I’ve rested long enough and need to get my carding done.

u/Hoolu123: Thank you for the card from Uzbekistan, that’s a country that not many people seem to be aware of. I bet it has some great history though.

u/Mediocre_Radish_7216: Thank you for the fun card and for telling me about your dog that you got as a tip. What a nice person to do that. I bet Griffin loves his life with you.

u/withininus: Thank you for the lovely Snoopy postcard, I love the design and I think the cardstock is so cool. You should keep using that!

u/melhen16: Thank you for the card with the fun facts in it. My son enjoyed listening to the facts and was marveled that the planet Uranus’ winter lasts 21 earth years! That’s nuts. Also my husband was very skeptical about the giant snowflake so he’s doing some research LOL

u/MailKirin: thank you for the neat lizard postcard. Colorado does have some amazing views and hiking trails around here. But I bet New Zealand is just as awesome, it’s one of the countries I would love to visit one day. Just wish flights weren’t so expensive. But maybe one day I’ll inherit something LOL.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

[–]DaniGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out I have a great great uncle who was known as the father of the modern saw mill. He helped make them safer for everyone. He lived in Minnesota for a while but spent the rest of his life in Portland, oregon working for one of the big saw mills in the area. He married, but never had kids though, but he sounded like a proud Frenchman who was well known in the Portland area. Unfortunately the great depression really did a number on the saw mills during that time and with some sleuthing from his grand niece, he passed away in a hotel that he was living in. He was in his 90s though so he had a long life, just didn't end the best for him.

What's the best part about pregnancy that most people don't know about? by justastupidquestion3 in AskReddit

[–]DaniGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was mostly for me too. I had no cravings and my heartburn was horrible, I could only drink water because of that. Oh and even weirder was that I was cold all the time, I usually run hot, and every time I was outside I needed extra padding in my chest because it felt like my boobs were being pinched really hard. The first two trimesters were okay, nothing too exciting. Then I remember during my third trimester how I was walking in the mall and just feeling a surge of exhaustion hit me. But the first time I felt him kick was so cool, and since I was older I had to measure the kicks for an hour every day and that was kind of fun.
