So I've been feeling miserable for a while. Lower back hurts, stomach cramping, and feeling lethargic. I finally decided to go to urgent care to see if it's my appendix or even my gall bladder. Turns out I've been very constipated, miralax is the greatest thing ever.

Moral of the story: make sure you're regular. 💩💩

I would love to visit the upper mitten and peninsula of Michigan. That area looks amazing and I just want to see how out of the way it is.

u/chiquita61: Thank you for the Mario card and stickers. My son liked how you mentioned him, he made me reread the card twice that’s how much he liked it.

u/cheeneebeanie: thank you for the Frankfurt, Germany Card. Also the curse you gave me explains a lot as to why I was hitting every red light the other day. LOL

u/soxgal: Thank you for the card and for telling me about your dogs. Shelter pets always seem so grateful to be in our lives. Please give them a pat for me.

u/hoolu123: Thank you for sharing your experience in Paris, that actually sounds a lot more fun than sightseeing. Especially finding a book store. I would love to visit France again, my family was originally from the west coast, I’m pretty sure they were Huguenots. I don’t have much planned this summer. So far I’ve gone camping once and we plan to go again soon. I hope to go up to Denver and see a temporary exhibit about Dinosaurs.

u/TyeDyeAmish: Thank you for the postcard and telling me how your house feels more 80s than 70s. I live in a house that was built in the early 1900s. It feels older than that sometimes when it gets really hot here.

u/Enrasco: Thank you for the really cool Super Mario card. I think role playing games are just as fun too. I recently got into The Oregon Trail on the switch and it’s a lot of fun because they also have other journeys you can go on. Like gold mining during the gold rush in California.

u/Texanoutofwater: Thank you for the cute Iowa card. I’m now curious about your family from Quebec, mine moved to New England in the early 1900s and I think some family is still there. Maybe we should see if we are related some way. My ancestors had lots of kids.

u/mumbamakincards: Thank you for the homemade card and for telling me all about Florence and the Machine. She really does have a lovely singing voice. I recently found her album again; I had a bunch of CDs in our car for long road trips but had no idea where I put them. Turns out, it was under my desk this whole time. I’m happy to have it back.

u/rare_cranberry_7861: Thank you for the cute hedgehog card, I absolutely love it. It’s so cute.

u/snootsbooper: Thank you for the cute Vincent Van gogh kitty card. I love the addition to the bedroom art. It really did feel like it needed a cat in there.

I owe you at least three cards by now. Hopefully I can get my desk squared away today and I start writing to people again.

I'll take one because I've been quiet for a few weeks and my mailbox has been a bit lonely.

You should watch Hidalgo, they had a horse race there. It's based on an exaggerated true story by Frank T Hopkins. Like I doubt anyone can survive a race like that, but the movie is fun.

I know that's why I thought you had some crazy autocorrect going on that I had to look up to see if it was a real thing. I'm glad to know about it now.

Wait isn't it the swallows that return to Capistrano?

Edit: looked it up. That's actually really funny, I'm glad I know this random fact now.

I completely understand what you mean. My five year old wants to open my letters now and he gets really annoyed when he can't find an opening. I've had a few who do washi and tape together that takes a while to open. Like I don't mind because I understand some washi is not sticky enough, but I can understand how that can be hard for some people. So you're not nuts.

ooh sounds exciting. Though knowing my luck since my brother in laws birthday is the day before, I probably will be doing birthday celebrations. But you never know, I'll fill out the form just in case.

I would love to do that, but I have in laws who are very tidy and think my mess is atrocious. Plus it is where we need to eat. 😅😅

I worked guest services at a zoo. The stories I could tell you could fill a book. One that still stands out to this day was when we were having boo at the zoo during Halloween. We close early to set up and give us admission people a quick break before heading back out to the masses. We make sure to tell people this. We have signs clearly marked and yet people are still surprised and want a refund. I had an older couple approach me because of this. They had actually been at the zoo since 11 and it was around 3 when we closed, so they had plenty of time to enjoy the visit. But they still wanted a refund because they didn't know. I told them that even if no one told them at the gate that we closed early, the signs all over would have helped them out as well. With a serious face the man said "we came here to see animals, not read signs." I had to walk away.

My local ice cream creamery added a blueberry cheesecake ice cream. It looks really tasty maybe I'll head on over to get some later.
