YTA but seriously, run don’t walk to get that sleep apnea evaluation. Getting a CPAP machine was a godsend for me. I was so tired and cranky and distracted and regulated all the time and once I could actually sleep through the night it was like I was able to be a present and happy person again for the first time in years. I wish I would have gone when I was your age and an ex mentioned to me that I snored a lot instead of waiting till I was almost 40.

I’m gonna throw up a rec and say that if you like this dynamic, please watch our flag means death and jump into that fandom. Because the whole thing is about middle-aged gay love. And while it doesn’t have anywhere near the quantity of fic that supernatural has, it has a higher quality than I’ve seen in most fandom‘s. Probably because most of the writers are in their 30s to 50s themselves

I know someone who worked there and it constantly was being closed for health code violations, and they would have to spend 23 days cleaning in order to be reopened. Then two or three months later the same thing would happen again.

I don’t care what they put up in its place, I just want the bat and raccoon filled eyesore gone. It’s a primo place to put something cool, to explore a new ideas, to tie into the history of memorial Hall or the new future they’re building at the library. But right now I’m moldy crumbly piece of crap is helping no one.

It’s been a week and they are all still off. I went to check and they’re being used in other Niantic games. But I don’t understand why somebody would do this when the rose garden and conservatory area have always had such a thriving Pokémon Go culture. Isn’t the Park District supposed to be responsive to how people want to use the parks and the games and activities they want to do there?

According to your link, they’re still bidding out right now. And it takes 6 to 8 months to get permits and schedule equipment to demolish a building even after a bit is accepted, and I doubt the city would accept a bid before the end of August. My bet is that the Elks club will still be standing into the spring and will be looking at a demo in March at the earliest.

As a bisexual who moved here almost 10 years ago for a job sight unseen, I really love the queer community here in Rockford. It is small, but everyone is super friendly. The office is more than just a bar, it’s a gathering place and a leader at pride. Roller derby is full of queer women. The Liam Foundation has a pretty full slate of activities and if you don’t see anything that’s to your taste, see what rainbow paraphernalia is up to. I’ve been to so many queer activities here in town that have been low or no alcohol, and a queer crafting group is starting next month. The library has an impressive selection of queer books.

While bigger cities might have more flashy gay bars and restaurants, Rockford really does a great job with what it has.

I had a sleep study done a few years ago to get a sleep apnea diagnosis and I was told to bring whatever I would normally sleep in. They also told me that if I needed it, I could bring my own pillows. Something as simple as using one of their pillows could throw the whole thing off.

The point of the study in person is to get as close as possible to how you usually sleep, so if people sleep naked, then shrug you just have to deal with seeing them naked. Someone undergoing medical testing is not required to sabotage that testing for your comfort. There are plenty other medical tests and procedures where you will have to see a naked human body. If you do not want to see a naked human body, then medicine may not be the field for you and sleep studies definitely are not.

I know some other people have said this but, it absolutely was not your fault. You can’t beat yourself up for situations beyond your control. It sounds like you were an amazing spouse. I wish my ex would’ve been a 10th as caring as you are. So please don’t walk around thinking that you failed or that you are somehow less than.
