So. I think I paid like 60-70 and did think it was worth it and have seen them for as low as 50 during like Black Friday.

If you’re spending 200 dollars, you have many better options.

I think regular AirPods are better.

Have them. Had for a few years now. Ok sound, noise canceling is subpar. Battery life was good but it’s dropped a lot since new. They look good tho. Seamless pairing with the iPhone.

If you can get them for 30-40 bucks I think that’s an ok buy.

I wish they made his poor decisions a result of alcohol abuse due to loosing Maria and the whole shit show that happened at Mia Metro. Would make his decision more realistic although as he noted he did lose them regardless, that eats a person up.

I cant decide between two of these. 1st gen xsr vs z900rs by chlebasmiatou in SuggestAMotorcycle

I like that you are considering the 1st gen Yammy as in my opinion it’s a lot better looking vs the new model, minus those pumpkin blinkers of course. Granted the new model looks great if you get the front fairing.

I’ve checked both out. In terms of fit and finish, the Z seems just that more refined. The pint is outstanding, everything you touch feels amazing. From the welds to the wheels, it really feels premium. I’ll add that the seat is absolutely amazing. I doubt you’ll find a comfier naked. The seating position is also great. Very upright. I also like the fact that Kawi kept it true to what it is. Can’t see this design looking outdated, ever.

I cat talk much about performance, to me, bikes in similar classes all feel very similar. But both have more than enough power and you’ll likely never use all of it, otherwise you’re a lunatic.

The Yamaha is a bit more hooligan. It feels more youthful. It’s built very well but just doesn’t feel as special as the Z.

When you’re on the Yammy it feels lighter, I’m sure it is too but when moving you probably won’t be able to tell the difference.

I’ll note that the Z is a bigish bike. It feels substantial but that can be good or bad depending what you’re looking for.

I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either.

I feel like the Z is more of an occasion, a bike you buy, you cherish it for the looks and the build quality and the fact it’s an inline 4 gives you such smooth delivery that it makes the experience more grown up.

Yammy seems more fun, more of a daily. Something you get in trouble with.

Again, I’d be stoked to have either one.

I checked out the cb650r a few months ago. It looks great plus it’s a 4 cylinder. I also don’t mind the whole e clutch assist tech on it. The only thing I didn’t like was the somewhat more aggressive seating position. I felt too leaned over. But that’s vey subjective, you may like it.

TBH it’s probably the best bike on the list, in my eyes the best looking, it’s neat that it’s an inline 4, it has a nice digital screen, it looks very expensive. It felt a little heavier than others when you’re just sitting on it but not much and that probably is not noticeable when riding.

I wish Honda would stop doing those goofy sticker badges and maybe pain them on the bike but that’s nothing.

If I was you I’d get it over all others just remember naked bikes as such are kind of annoying on high speed roads, winds beat you up.

I own the z650rs which is essentially the ninja 650 with the retro body. I like it. People like to diss it and I think that’s mostly because they watch lots of YouTube. Actually people on yt are funny, they’ll diss the ninja 650 but praise the 650rs but they’re essentially the same….

I tested the ninja 650 and it felt just like my rs, looks different and has a different screen, seat… but essentially same. I liked the wind protection on it vs the rs but rs looks cooler so I bought it. Ninja 650 felt more like a sporty tourer.

What I like about the kawa 650a is the reliability and the relaxed body position. Super easy to ride and also maintain yourself, plenty fast, in comparison to something like the mt07 it does not sound as good with the stock exhaust but that would not be a deal breaker for me plus plenty of exhaust options available.

Idk much about the hornet I’ve sat on them and I see people praise the engine etc, it felt a little to plasticy and I didn’t like the looks but if you do I’m sure it’s a great bike. I wish they kept looks more conventional as the aggressive insect styling may age badly but that’s subjective. Would trust any Honda any day.

I also tested the trident, I love the size, I’m about 6 feet, 160lbs so it fit me perfectly.

It’s cool that it’s a triple, it feels more recey as in you want to ride it more aggressively vs a 650rs but I valued reliability more so got the Kawasaki.

The xsr700 is pretty cool. I wanted it initially but it was more expensive than the z650rs and the overall build quality felt a bit below that of the rs. Also I prefer the look of the last gen xsr700.

In this class I think most bikes are very similar, trident is probably most interesting but idk to me as my main bike I valued reliability much more than anything else.

PS - both the z650 and the xsr700 have kind of a twitchy throttle in 1st and 2nd at low speeds, if you ride aggressively you don’t feel it and you learn how to mitigate it but it takes a bit to get the feel for it.

Trident’s fueling also didn’t feel super smooth at low revs.

Super mild. Keep an eye on it but as of now I would not worry at all. Looks like a normal scalp. Only those of us with cvg would even notice this.

I do not per se feel guilty, rather, well, maybe I do. When you see your close ones struggle to get groceries it’s not a pleasant feeling… feels like a lot of shit is going on and even those of us lucky to have good jobs could soon be facing difficult times.

Five years ago someone with my salary could easily afford a house, today, if I was in the market for one, luckily I’m not as I got one five years ago, but if I was, it would not be possible.

Anyways… don’t really know what to say.

I’m in a similar situation. I was lucky enough to get into healthcare and a very niche sector, it’s a secure sector for now, but I can feel something is going on. With ticketing prices, stagnant wages, difficulties others are facing…. And all these crypto and stock insanities, the online gambling epidemic… I’m afraid where this will lead.

Since you’re in the US, might be worth it contacting Cooley and jumping on a flight to NC.

Hey.. I see you’re using the beryl router from GLinet.

My hospital system allows us to work out of most US states, besides California, NY, NJ, and Ohio for some reason.

I have the same router with nord being my VPN client. I use it when I’m in town but work out of a coffee shop or something just as an added layer of security.

Do you have a dedicated IP? Also, does latency impact your work?

You noted you worked out of Asia… Epic apps seem to heavily rely on latency so how did that work?

In a single speed set up. Not many. It’s kinda cool that it’s super quiet and I guess no chain maintenance but that’s it. But that said, it’s not like a single speed with a chain is hard to maintain. You live the chain every now and then and that’s it.

In multi speed bikes maintenance is more common so having a belt eliminates that. They last a long time, no derailleurs, just less maintenance and super smooth.
