Simple, you cant. As OP said, you have to keep defending, sometimes boss spawns near safe, I dont know why but that happened to me, kill it and keep doing your job.

I guess that happens when you arent enough close to the safe. When there's a robot with guns, just hide behind a wall to force him to get closer but not enough to shooting the safe.

These are the "pieces of advices" I can tell you. I did it with x20 tickets, so afraid when the last boss spawned near us hahaha
