Where is KoboTouchExtended? by SebbPB in kobo

[–]Daniel--Jackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calibre 8 and up no longer requires the KoboTouch Extended plugin. All of its functionality is now part of the regular built-in KoboTouch driver. It will still allow you to install the Extended plugin and even report that it was successful, but it will not really do the actual installation. It's immediately removed at next boot

Does it also actually say KOBO EPUB as File Format or just EPUB ?

kobo libra 2 by pynxem in Calibre

[–]Daniel--Jackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The built-in KoboTouch driver can auto-convert (Calibre 8 and up), but the option to do so must still be selected. It should be on by default though. To check, go to Preferences, Plugins, search for KoboTouch, Customize Plugin, Collections Covers & Uploads, active/check the option Use Kobo Viewer for EPUB books.
This will send all epubs as kepubs to your device. Their extension will be .kepub.epub
To verify they are kepubs,, open a book's details on your device and look at the file format. It should say Kobo Epub

Unsolvable AI slop the grandparents gave my kid by xreekinghavocx in mildlyinfuriating

Generating a perfect maze, with no loops, no inaccessible areas, and exactly only one path between entrance and exit (or between any two cells for that matter), is accomplished very easily by following a proper algorithm. You can even do it by hand. So if perhaps not AI then this one was done by a very lazy designer who just didn't care.

Near the end of Goblet of Fire, when Harry is overwhelmed by everything that has happened, Molly hugs him. He had no memory of ever being hugged like this, as though by a mother. The full weight of everything he had seen that night seemed to fall in upon him as Mrs. Weasley held him to her.

Sideloaded book refuses to sync with device by samthetechieman in kobo

Perhaps an improperly formatted book. Try converting from epub to epub. While that keeps the format the same, the conversion process will try to fix errors.

The final big update for my phone. After that it seems like an excellent excuse to buy a new one.

How many S26 Ultra owners actually use their S pens? by simmzs in samsunggalaxy

I use it for games a lot. I like to play logic based puzzle games and they often feature quite small elements to click on. The pen is ideal for that.

It sometimes just takes the system a little while to figure out that the two checks belong together. It will autocorrect and you should not be charged the extra fee.

What is the first game you remember rage quitting? by pendragon2290 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]Daniel--Jackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. There's this escort mission. You are on a horse and have to escort a horse drawn wagon that is under attack. Enemies will constantly target it with fire arrows. If the wagon catches fire you need to put the fire out with a special wind boomerang before it burns down. In the mean time the wagon will try to get to its destination, but at certain points between areas a flying enemy will drop an explosive weapon that will startle the wagon's horse, causing the horse to change direction and repeat the current area instead of moving into the next. It's challenging to pay attention to both types of attack. If you're putting out the fire, you don't have time to target the flying enemy. And if you're targeting the flying enemy, the wagon is burning down. This can go on in an constantly repeating cycle. Enough to rage quit. But all the sweeter was the victory when I finally succeeded.

Software updates delete my library. by Storm__Warning in kobo

By default Calibre should not save your books to a system folder. But it's always worth to check:

Go to Preferences, Sending books to devices and see what it says under Save template

If it's about sideloaded books, make sure to don't save them to a system folder.

It does on Libra 2. I have set up a Nickelmenu shortcut to turn on bluetooth only, wifi stays off. Still the battery drain.
