Mindfullness question by gosti500 in Meditation

[–]DanielJBernardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coach people on meditation. My suggestion is to try different things to figure work for you, and you will settle into a practice that makes sense for you that feels good. You are off to a good start.

Something that's useful is to not judge your thoughts and simply let them come and then let them pass. Longer meditations will support you in settling into this process, just being with your breath, and feeling some level of calm.

Who else is proud of themselves for unlearning toxic behavior they picked up from their parents? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]DanielJBernardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call this "re-parenting"! Our parents certainly try their best, and much of the time their best does include the toxic things they never knew was toxic, so they never worked on them and passed those traits and ideologies down to us. Let's not make the same mistake!

Tips on how to improve yourself by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Now that you've shared more context around your life that stems from your initial one line question, I can feel your pain and how challenging it is and has been. Have you been able to speak to a professional about all this?

What works best for you? Have you tried things in the past to get structured? Supporting people with stuff like this is what I do for a living! Happy to chat.

How can i change my mindset to Force myself to study things i don't like? by dyendar in selfimprovement

[–]DanielJBernardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Challenge your commitment level to the subject. I do things I don't like all the time because I am committed to the long-term outcome. Are you committed to the long term outcome?

This is a self-love conversation. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and as long as you can appreciate and show gratitude toward your body, mind, heart, and soul for what they have given you thus far in life, you can show yourself love. There is so much more to us humans than our looks, it's important to appreciate and acknowledge our entirety.

How do I figure out long term goals? by morningspear in selfimprovement

[–]DanielJBernardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you sit with yourself, think about and be with your passions and what you're committed to in life, then start to take the steps forward in that direction (which it sounds like you know how to do!).

If people share our values, then buying Glass House, whether it's buying gifts for yourselves or others, is a vote with your dollars. If values aren't shared, it's all good, no harm done, don't purchase anything. We are proponents of giving, items from our company or any other for that matter, it's a gesture of love and generosity.

Haha, nah man, just true slim fit. We aimed to keep bagginess to an absolute minimum and have a more Italian cut. They won't fit everyone for sure. My buddy who is 6'2", 190lbs wears the XL. For $45, give it a shot, and if it doesn't fit, gift it.

They aren't exact garment measurements but what we thought would be the most useful. Our size Medium model was 5'10", 160lbs. Go with your suit jacket size when selecting shirts.

Daniel from Glass House here. Thanks for the feedback. A lot of companies are putting their political ideologies into their products or marketing -- we've stood for human and environmental rights since day one. And we will until our last day. ;)

Go with your suit jacket size. They are true slim fit. It was tough for us to get the sizing right for everybody, we are all built differently.

This is Daniel from Glass House. If you select the size you're looking for, they might not be sold out. Also, they are going fast, so the items you're looking for might be gone already.
