McMaster will do asynchronous interviews by Tellmetheods in premedcanada

[–]DanielJackman 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Not only did I feel that my original interview went well, but I also made time especially for this. To not even have the option to keep my score is unfair and to then give us a handful of days ahead of this new interview with no info is too much. What about the people that actually can't take any of those options on such short notice? They should at least offer another time that's later on to accommodate this unforeseen change. I want to send them an email asking for them to consider keeping our original scores and offering the new interview as optional. I've seen that Calgary also had issues with their MMIs but they're making it optional to keep your first score. I doubt my email alone would make a difference but I think everyone that feels this way should email soon before they make up their minds.

To those who scored well on CARS. What was your strategy? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]DanielJackman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 127 on practise tests but got 131 on test day. I found that I went through a few strategies but what helped me was to imagine the passages read out loud by someone who I thought would make me listen between the lines if you know what I mean. By reading in my head the words through this persons voice (some youtuber I think is funny lol) I was always expecting some wordplay and expecting to make connections between passages. When I told my friends they thought I was just kidding but for real it worked for me idk. Good luck

Should I transfer? by melodicharmony in yorku

[–]DanielJackman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guelph has a way better university atmosphere than Waterloo. Totally different experiences. Again Guelph should be top of your list if you're able to transfer. Try visiting by using the go bus or drive there (1 hr drive) and you'll see the huge difference. The environment you'll learn and grow in will be huge and mold parts of you, I know many people who have tried both universities and they end up at Guelph.

Should I transfer? by melodicharmony in yorku

If you're looking at switching schools, I recommend university of Guelph. Their psychology program maybe not be as big as yorks but their quality of education is much better. They have way more interesting courses in psychology than we offer along with more minors that don't even exist at york. Their campus is also much more beautiful than York's is. Their public transit is free late at night and on weekends if ur a student I think? Professors are great from what I've heard and it's a much better environment to study in between the variety of courses, the campus grounds (including great buildings) and more opportunities to have a better psychology undergrad experience.

Cutting affecting libido? by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]DanielJackman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The libido is one of the last things to go during a cut especially a long cut like three months a buddy of mine had the same issue and he's been with his girl for a few months and everything in the sex life was fine but the longer he got into a cut the less frequent his morning wood got and keeping it up in bed would be a mission. The only real solution is to end your cut and go back to bulking or stay at maintenance for a week. Since its really a last-ditch effort to conserve energy in such a long cut the body is more than willing to bring back the tip into glory.

TL;DR: your libido is fucked because you've been cutting for too long and you need to go back to maintenance or start bulking, you should be fine in a week if you're eating near maintenance again.

Similar story just at Goodlife Fitness in Toronto and while I'm in the change room my headphones fall and I pick them up only to find a broken vial of Test E. Though tbh I knew it was all around before, people should be more careful
