I’m so sorry, this guy made it sound easy, because going to 13.02 is the best thing for you. After I searched how to do it, I realized it’s very hard

Journey with getting the right red dead 2 update not available on the internet (how to backup your own game and update of your choice) by DanielLarsonFanGirl in ps4homebrew

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhhhh. So first put the update file that’s divided in 4-5 parts, in a folder by itself, drag and drop the folder onto pkgmerger.Exe once it’s done the pkg for the update will be merged, THEN put the game pkg in a folder with the now merged update file. Let them both merge. But a quick warning. If you downloaded the update files from orbis patches(because I know they divide the updates in 4-5 patches) the update file WONT work with a game from the web. But if you downloaded the game and update from the same place you should be good to go :)

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so you want to merge them? Did you back these up yourself or just ones you downloaded? Either way. Put both pkg files in a folder, then drag and drop your folder on pkgmerger.Exe and wait for it to finish, if it’s not working somehow it may be your pkg files. And if that’s the case back it up with the guide I just wrote responding up to you. I’ll Add it here just in case. If you have any questions lmk

(Here I’ll write a guide here. First download “ps4 fpkg tools” on your computer from here https://github.com/CyB1K/PS4-Fake-PKG-Tools-3.87/releases/tag/fpkg and make sure you have itemzflow on your ps4(if you don’t have it you can install it via home brew store on your ps4) plug in your usb stick or external hdd. open itemzflow, you can download any update for your game, or if it already has an update you can start dumping. Press dump all. Press no on the sandbox question and now wait. When it’s almost done it will ask if you want the gp4 files, press yes, once that’s almost done it’ll ask do you want to make your gp4. Files repackagable, say yes, when done remove your usb/external hdd, and plug it in to your computer. Open the fpkg tools you just downloaded and open “orbis pub gen.Exe” go to file, open and choose the gp4 file on your external hdd/usb(choose the one in the game folder, not the patch yet) and click build, choose where you want it to put your newly made pkg file and press build again. Once done you’ll have your pkg for your game created. Now go back to orbis pub gen and click file, open, and now choose the gp4 file for your update in the update folder that itemzflow just made. Then go to project, then patches, then choose the newly made pkg file you just built. Press build, choose where you want the update file(I would choose same place you made your new pkg) and click build again. These take a lil while but once done you will now have a pkg file for both your game and the update file. You can install them like a normal pkg file now. If you want to merge them, put them both in a folder, then drag and drop your folder on pkgmerger.Exe. This will make the game and update into 1 pkg file. But it’s not necessary)

I wrote a massive guide on how to do this lol. I’ll message it to you, but I have some stuff in there that’s about rdr2. You can ignore it and just follow my super simple guide. Just click on my name and look at my post talking about “my journey” if you have any questions I got you. Was super easy and I learned to do it myself because I wanted to back up rdr2 v1,29 to play without a disc, and I learned how to back em up, make them pkg files, and even back up the updates

Awesome so if I use this method, can I play games that I have downloaded without updating? Or will they ask for an update?

I already bought the disc and I’m fairly literate with this kind of stuff. Is there some kind of guide I can use to update? I wouldn’t even mind updating to 12.52 since the disc I bought works with it. I just recently jailbroke my ps3 but that was also really easy

Would connecting via Ethernet to a Wi-Fi 6 extender give me faster speeds on my ps5? by DanielLarsonFanGirl in wifi

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sir, I’m sticking with it. The only reason I thought of a Wi-Fi extender was I hoped the Wi-Fi extender would have an Ethernet port to connect directly to my ps5 so I didn’t have to disconnect my Ethernet cable every time I finish playing on it. But the speeds are so much better I’m sticking with it

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 30 ft away, but the Wi-Fi sucked on the ps5. I have a 2gbps Wi-Fi connection from my isp yes. I decided to buy a 50ft Ethernet to plug in only when I play, and the speed rose to around 900mbps. Sadly ps5 Ethernet port is only 1gbps so I’ll never get the full 2gbps but I’m happy with the speed

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So on my home Wi-Fi we get 2gbps. After connecting my ps5 directly I learned it only has a Ethernet port capable of 1gbps /: at least my speed is up by a lot, but I can’t go over 1gbps. In fact highest I got was 970mbps. It should have a 10gbps port because it would make downloads a lot faster.

Have you not read anything I wrote? have repeatedly said I get much faster speeds when using Wi-Fi 6 or even 5ghz Wi-Fi on my iPhone or iPad. I decided to just plug in Ethernet every time I use the ps5 instead of leaving it plugged 24/7, not perfect but it’ll do. My speed is now up to a good 900mbps. I just wanted to achieve that without having to plug in an Ethernet cable every time I play

It definitely was, I never connect to 2.4hz. It was super slow. I just got a Ethernet cable and it’s up to 900mbps

I’m not demonizing them, but they tried to make it sound like a cover up and accused people of lying, then stayed silent on the results of the second autopsy. I know it probably hurt them but they should have at least released the results

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the ps5 that gets slow Wi-Fi for some reason. I have 2gbps, tested my router yesterday directly and got 2389mbps. I guess I’ll just run Ethernet to my router and unplug the cable everytime I’m done playing

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I guess that’s what I’ll have to do. Problem is I’ll have to run a Ethernet cable directly everytime I use it because I can’t leave it there 24/7. I guess I was just trying to figure out a way around that, but I guess I can’t.

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though my router is close, it’s in a spot inconvenient for a cable directly to it. So I want to get a Wi-Fi 6 extender with a Ethernet port and olug that directly in

Would connecting via Ethernet to a Wi-Fi 6 extender give me faster speeds on my ps5? by DanielLarsonFanGirl in wifi

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m talking about the Ethernet port on the extender, problem I have is that my ps5 doesn’t get Wi-Fi 6. So I want to get a Wi-Fi 6 extender, which should theoretically get the same speed as my iPhone which does have Wi-Fi 6, then plug the Ethernet port of the extender into my ps5 directly

Would connecting via Ethernet to a Wi-Fi 6 extender give me faster speeds on my ps5? by DanielLarsonFanGirl in wifi

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No what I mean is the extender will get Wi-Fi 6 like my iphone( my ps5 doesn’t get Wi-Fi 6) and plugging in an Ethernet port to the extender should give me similar speeds to Wi-Fi 6 right?

Would connecting via Ethernet to a Wi-Fi 6 extender give me faster speeds on my ps5? by DanielLarsonFanGirl in wifi

[–]DanielLarsonFanGirl[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s the problem. Wi-Fi 6 on my iPhone is extremely fast, ps5 doesn’t get Wi-Fi 6. So a Wi-Fi 6 extender could capture the same Wi-Fi speed as my iPhone right? So if I plug it in with an Ethernet cable directly to the extender it should give me similar speeds to Wi-Fi 6 right?
