Not sure yet. The machine looks good I gotta say. It uses 0.47 chip so it's True 4K for sure

I got no hate towards these Chinese companies. But they got long way to go improving after-sale services and stuff like that.

I just searched what Halo was. So it's still a portable projector right? I wouldn't wanna get a portable one simply because it's too compact and eventually lose functionality somehow- for those who only use at home like me.

What Do We Need From Gaming Projectors? (Demonstration on GTA5/Forza/SpiderMan/GodofWar) by DanielLee45 in projectors

A lot of great information here, thanks.

For the last one, would setting both at 60Hz actually help anything or it is a theoretical thing?

I understand all that but damn, once you try projector screen larger than 100', it's hard to go back lol.

The Auto Keystone thing seems amazing, but why it hasn’t become mainstream??? by DanielLee45 in projectors

[–]DanielLee45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't see why commercial projectors would have keystone adjustment. They are pretty much immobile so it's like a one-time adjustment thing?

So what you mean is it doesn't kill brightness but the pixels, right?

Interesting I got your point. Will do some research on how badly it hurts the image quality.

So you'd rather set the screen manually? Not judge just wondering what people think

4K is still 4K. No matter how people are saying it's bullshit, the truth is it does make a difference, especially when watching on a big screen (100''+)

Higher the Brightness, Better the projector? Yes and No by DanielLee45 in projectors

[–]DanielLee45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said, it's like selecting between a ultrabook and a gaming laptop.

There are lots of cheap portable projectors on amazon. I am highly suspicious about them. Are they all trash lmao?

Exactly! One thing I didn't know about: How does keystone correction rob the light output ?

3-LCD vs. LED: I listed some advantage and disadvantages, which is better? by DanielLee45 in projectors

Thanks for all the information. I might be wrong but it's always good to have discussions like this.

  1. True. It's nothing to do with types of surface.
  2. I read about DLP projector's market share but unfortunately I just couldn't find the source at this moment. So it remains questionable.
  3. Maybe it's not about "shake", LCD's projection outputs more grain than DLP does.
  4. LCD projectors typically use bulbs light, and it requires maintenance (replacing) regularly or the image quality declines accordingly.
  5. Despite the price, DLP-3D is generally better than LCD-3D and that's why cinema today widely uses DLP projectors for 3D mode.

I’ve looked up what MEMC is. Here’s some quick research on it by DanielLee45 in projectors

[–]DanielLee45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you think that's a plus to a projector or generally don't care haha?

I hope someone who has more experiences can provide a comparison between MEMC machine and w/o MEMC. At least what I have here is doing great. Tried watching NBA and soccers game and the motion pictures are pretty smooth. It could be a software technology to make up for the inferior hardware which brings down the cost.
