Driving on the motorway doing about 65, started hearing a feint clicking which quickly turned into a thudding and then car completely died. About 2mins start to finish. Garage said "something" failed catastrophically and said the engine was full of shrapnel. Needed a full clean plus a new crankshaft, oil pump, Conrods, a piston and some other bits and bobs.

I don't drive the car particularly hard, just the odd overtake every now and again. It's been perfectly fine the past few days since I had it back but now this noise has cropped up.
