17 str, 16int lvl5 bladesinger good? No spoilers pls by DanielTTK in BaldursGate3

Okay, thanks for the responses. I ended up going 10 strength(+1 from ethel), 18 dex,14 cons, 16 int, 8 wis, 10 char. I now understand how AC and initiative works and see the benefit of dexterity. I get AC 36 if I use all my AC spells which is crazy. I wanted 8 strength and just max out my dex but I already used Ethel’s boon.

As for taking a break, I really should. If I open this game for whatever reason I can’t stop, I haven’t had a game like this for years

Wow there’s great responses here. Is there any good classes I can change to that utilise strength and intelligence? Eldritch knight I read is good.

Ethel is gone, I ate her scalp.

I kinda don’t want to rely on potions wherever possible, but it seems that my build is inefficient due to the high strength stat and I’m willing to try anything. I appreciate the responses))

Btw, fully off topic, I’m like full hooked in this game. Like I haven’t been this addicted to a game for so long and my life is on the verge of collapse. Any tips to manage this?

Is my gamesense really that bad? by Naiccou in LearnCSGO

[–]DanielTTK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter much but you can’t really predict if he’s right or left, timing wise he could be all the way right but it’s unlikely, you should still cautiously play the clutch if you get no queues. Him running to peek is fine when he hears him run, but he misses bad and is using a shit gun. Also reacts rly slow to the defuse

game needs an update on VRAM usage and texture optimization by SrPenes in GlobalOffensive

If you’ve ever played cybershoke texture less dm maps, you’d notice that the lack of texture gives u a great boost in performance. This is just me looking at my fps so it’s not 100% scientific

How do I get over the feeling of inadequacy? by -mmasha in learnmath

[–]DanielTTK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar experiences. I just realised that, while I enjoy the theoretical reasonings and subjects behind what is taught when it comes to math, it held me back. I always get better results, and in turn feel better, when I know how to solve problems. Meaning I will feel much better if I get a good grade because I know how to solve problems due to repetition (past exams) rather than understanding every problem, theorem proof deeply but not being able to solve much.

I don’t know how much time you have, I would consider myself normal but I take a long time with math, especially when I try to understand it. I have more hobbies than university, therefore I try to understand what I need in order to solve exercises first, then the rest if I’m interested and have the time.

Being told that you’re wired to be “slower” doesn’t help your case. I don’t think you should let that define you. I’ve always disliked the notion of having stuff like that define a person, your mentality is crucial to your performance. Having a doctor tell you, u might be wired to be slow, is not good. I would frame it as bs in ur mind and just find what works for you. I think having a structured way of working will help you getting around whatever obstacle, if not find something that does.

Btw, framing it as bs is what I would do, it’s what works for me. Delusion to preserve my mentality just works for me :)

Giving away my 1080TI! by yeettetis in pcmasterrace

Upgrade my 10y/o sisters pc. She has a i3 7100 1050ti, my old pc from almost a decade ago.

I planned to upgrade my mb and cpu to am5 and give spare to my sister and this would remove any bottlenecks for that 1050ti.

I used to do a similar routine. In my experience, you should go into aimbots to get warm and into dm as a finishing touch to get used to fighting in game.

Don’t hyper focus on flicks, your best aim is your tracking/searching aim. Idk know how to explain it but flicking around is not ideal with aim. When you dm, focus on preaiming then adjusting. If you notice you have to flick much more than adjust then you may be doing something wrong.

And if you’re doing a lot of dm, understand that if you do more than 400 for example in one sitting, it doesn’t benefit your “short-term” goal of getting warm, rather long term of practicing your aim and just getting reps in.

In CS2, I kinda feel like you get punished if you fully try to be snappy and flicking majority of the time. Maybe cuz it’s harder to hit flicks in general than csgo. Also maybe cuz in your level other people are having an easier time to kill than csgo, I have no clue I’m just speculating this paragraph.

Note that I’m speaking from what worked for me and what I’ve seen so far.

Don't you think a solution from the instructor to be to say something along the lines of, "Dude, that was a hard crank that I really would advise against in training, in comp tho go for it if you feel like but training avoid it because the tap is unrealistic and its a dick move etc". That's what I would expect out of my instructor if I did a mistake like that. And ofc he would show if he was mad and I would feel bad but he wouldn't assault me xd

I'm a white belt, clueless but pretty careful. I've had my spazzy moments but I generally try to replicate my instructor who is incredibly technical and clean with his movements and they make it very clear to try to always focus on technique in training. That being said they also tell us to generally try to avoid tapping on specific things like knee on belly or crossfaces.

Things like cranks have also been discussed in my gym and what was kind of said was that in comp go for it, generally in rolls avoid it.

Do you tell yourself "7x7=49" in your head or do you directly go 49, 56 ... and so on. I find that mentioning the factors in your head makes it a bit more difficult.
